Outstanding wedding food and service in the Manchester/Derbyshire area!Carl and his catering team gave an outstanding service, and so many wedding guests said how much they enjoyed the food. Carl made it clear from the beginning that we could have whatever we wanted. He cooked us a delicious taster meal and talked through ideas. Even when we made last minute changes eg about timings, he was always accomodating, trusting and polite. The food was delicious and exactly what we had hoped for. The staff were very attentive and kind - they also seemed genuinely happy to be there.The pricing is very reasonable compared to any other catering services in Manchester area, but what really stands out is the personal touch and high quality. Contacted Carl 5 days before my daughters wedding to see if the company could provide canapés .Although short notice Carl was really helpful with suggestions and budget . He responded promptly to messages and emails. They were organised within 2 days . On the wedding day, delivered on time to the tipi on a farm .Beautifully displayed looked very impressive . Carl was fantastic from the first phone call. After listening to what we wanted for our DIY wedding, he tailored an offering that suited our requirements and budget perfectly. We had the By Request BBQ for our main wedding breakfast and then when booking that, the service was so good, we decided to also book their pizzas for our evening food. In the run up to the wedding Carl took time to talk through the whole set up over the phone which gave me great reassurance that everything would work well on the day. And it did! We recently used the services of By Request for a party of 40 guests. The service and food quality were 'Fantastic'. There were so many menu choices to cater for all. By Request arranged the funeral buffet for my mother's funeral. Carl was really helpful and professional and compassionate throughout responding to emails in a timely informative manner. He was happy to adjust the set menu to take into account dietary requirements and was flexible with the cake options. Trust me when I say that nobody is more focused on perfection than myself and as a result I never write reviews because I feel that in today's world it's rare if ever, that things really reach the mark. Well here's the exception, because with By Request everything from the mannerism, the attention to detail, the delivery of the service etc is simply off the planet. The occasion was our daughter’s 18th birthday celebration. The services provided by ‘By Request’ were exceptional from start to finish. The friendly team were a godsend from the moment they arrived. They mucked in helping us to finish the party decor- which we wouldn’t have finished on time without their help.Their BBQ was excellent and we received lots of very positive feedback from our guests about the food.They willingly obliged and stayed on an extra hour to serve drinks- nothing was too much trouble. Our wedding venue had very specific requirements for any caterer, and we obviously had a specific idea of what we wanted for this most special of days. After a relatively thorough internet search, we contacted a number of companies about our requirements. Carl, at By Request, was by far the most helpful, accommodating and he filled us with confidence from the moment that we met him. Carl arranged to visit us at home, all at our convenience, and with him he brought a huge portfolio of endorsements. To be honest we were blown away by the comments people had written over many years and it left us with little doubt that By Request would live up to those testimonials.Nothing was too much trouble for him in the organisation leading up to our day and it was obvious from the outset that he had a wealth of experience in this area. He was very receptive to our requirements and full of great suggestions and pieces of advice. In what can be an extremely stressful lead up to a wedding, Carl was calmness and efficiency personified.By Request provided and coordinated all of the catering throughout our wedding day including a drinks reception, a traditional English afternoon tea and, later, an evening barbeque. The food, selected from a great range of menus, was delicious and the organisation meticulous. Everything went according to plan and Carl and his wonderful team made us and our guests feel very special and important. We booked Carl and his team for our wedding. We were impressed with how easy and relaxed they were to deal with from the start. Carl was very accommodating when we needed to make last minute changes to our menu. He was also helpful in providing table cloths and even supplied extras. The menu for the big day was varied enough so that there was something for everyone, the food itself was delicious. The vegetarians in particular were delighted with the options available. We were promised stress-free catering for a Golden Wedding celebration for 72 people, and that is what we got. We put out tables and chairs, decorations and a cake, and By Request did all the rest - setting up, providing food and drink and all crockery, cutlery and glassware, and tidying everything away afterwards (no washing up! ).
