We are long term clients of BPM to let out our flat in Edinburgh and only praise for the quality of service over all that time – a big difference from other agents we have used earlier. This is a comfort to us as we no longer live in the UK at the moment and need to have full trust in the letting agent. The flat has been fully let for over 15 years now.They are highly professional in all respects from identification and vetting for new tenants, recommending new rent rates when tenants change, dealing with problems immediately as arise, arranging for purchase and replacement of new equipment furniture as the need arises. Communications are excellent either by email or telephone be it to give permission for work to be undertaken, provision of financial statements and advice on potential changes to regulations.We were fortunate to have had them recommended to us as we would recommend them in in turn to any one wishing to rent out in Edinburgh or indeed tenants wanting to rent property. I was recommended to Broughton by a friend who has several properties. Before going to Broughton I managed properties by myself. Since handing my properties to Broughton they have relieved me burden stress and strain of managing the everyday problems that inevitably arise with tenanted properties. They keep us well informed and have a network of excellent contractors and arrange for access. They are experts in the rented market and promptly and effectively deal with any issue that may arise. Their tenant finding and vetting service is also excellent. They treat tenants excellently as they do us. I have no hesitation in recommending Broughton.I would also add that you should not be put off by the relatively austere premises. Leanne Reid of Broughton Property Management is a revelation in an industry where far too many are only interested in making a quick killing rather than building a long term relationship. The headline is that she delivers on promises and does so with an unfailing smile.
I wanted to buy an Edinburgh flat to rent and fixed an initial meeting with Leanne to explain my version of perfection.
Over the next 18 months, she made suggestions and uncomplainingly accepted rejections, usually understanding the reasons.
Finally, she got in touch with a property that seemed far too good to be true, even making rash promises about the potential rental value.
She then assisted with every element of the transaction, introducing me to a good solicitor and efficiently handling whatever obstacles threatened to derail the process.
She was also as excited as I was about the bidding process and final success (at a price that made sense given the demand).
From there, she moved into overdrive, refurbishing and furnishing like a demon, before getting the promised rental price, all within a few weeks of purchase.
