We went to breakfast with Santa today and it was absolutely perfect! As regular visitors I knew it would be great but it was better than I ever imagined. The Santa was absolutely wonderful he made my boys so happy and made me feel quite emotional he was so lovely. Beautiful place to visit Christmas or not. The food is also fantastic. It’s my favourite place to come to. More...

Brockholes usually gets 5 stars from us, however, today, despite being open until 4pm they were packing away the food at 2. 30. very little choice after this time. Otherwise, a great venue. More...

Enjoyable and relaxing. Great views, paths and places to sit. Interesting shop with friendly staff and a few unususl bits and bobs. Worth a visit if you've never been and you like nature reserves. Also, car parking costs contribute to keeping the place going. More...

We took our 3 boys to visit Father Christmas here today. What a lovely experience they had! Father Christmas was amazing, he spent a long time chatting to the boys and made them feel like he really cared about them. They had such a lovely conversation. They were so pleased with the gifts they received. Thank you Brockholes! Would highly recommend. More...

Great place for the kids to run and play, rain or shine. Good play area, and lots of muddy puddles to jump in. I believe that it's good for bird watching too....

Nice place for a walk with the kids. The only downside I find with Brockholes is it's not necessarily a quiet walk since it runs right next to the M6. Other than that it is a nice walk around the sight. More...

Great few hours with a 6 yo. Had fun completing the Halloween trail, burnt off some energy on the play area and had a nice lunch. Just £5 to park all day.

Reasonably accessible from the M6 / A59 junction 31. Plenty of parking available. Bit pricey parking if your host doesn't pay for it though. The floating conference centre is interesting, surprisingly quiet considering its proximity to the motorway, really nice when the sun shone too. The catering was fine for the event attended. More...

Lovely little place to take the children for a walk and get them out of the house, shame about the door-hinges that park outside of the entrance blocking half of the road to avoid a tiny car park charge considering its free to enter.

We entered Brockholes and almost immediately we spotted deer, this was before we reached the car park, we saw four but may have been more. We parked up and went for a walk spotting a couple of kestrels the something large landed in a pond not sure what sort of bird but the ducks were making a lot of noise, we ended up in the cafe were we spotted a kingfisher and two buzzards the only criticism I could make would be it shuts at eight. Halloween trail brilliant. Choice of easy with a pram or more difficult. Good fun looking for the symbols with a 7& 8 year old. Also a bonus to see when we visited, snakes & reptiles. Such a friendly group of snake owners letting children young & old touch or hold snakes, wonderful. A great cafe, a reasonably priced gift shop. We will certainly be back! More...
