About

My remedial work is based on the anatomical understanding that the body is one interconnected unit and that when one part moves the whole body is responding. One of the main structures of the body to facilitate this interconnectedness is the fascia, a type of connective tissue.

I recently received an excellent treatment from Mindful Hands. Peter works very carefully taking time to release long held tensions and chronic pain. It was a big relief to have greater movement and considerably less discomfort in my shoulder and I highly recommend Peters' work. More...

Peter works with great focus and attention. He worked on my leg, and followed a line of discomfort very slowly and carefully, until it felt soft and healthy again. Alongside this I felt a very deep sense of relaxation, with my mind and body feeling more aligned. Thank You Peter More...

Lomi Lomi massage: What a perfect birthday present...to relax fully and have such a flowing, warm, connected massage! After experiencing other types of massage, such as classic holistic, Indian Head massage and sports/remedial, this connected parts of the body in a much more natural way and left me feeling grounded and relaxed - an effect that has lasted. I thoroughly recommend. Thank You, Peter! More...

I studied on the Professional Training Course and can’t speak highly enough of BCMB. The standards of teaching were excellent and the tutors all brought their own deep knowledge and experience to share. I don’t think I was prepared for how intense the course would be, but each and every one of the fantastic tutors supported me at every stage, in a way that I could only describe as way above and beyond expectations.

A mind-blowing, life-changing experience. I feel blessed to have found BCMB and am very grateful to everyone involved for making this such a fabulous course. As
a practicing professional massage therapist, I can see what a huge difference choosing the right course can make. Do it! You won’t look back!

Remedial Massage for painful conditions like back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, joint and muscle pain, headaches/migraines, sports injuries, creating a proven treatment plan for long term pain in order regain pain-free movement function.

Everything we experience we experience through our body. How we perceive and feel about ourselves is shaping that experience to a great extent. Our body-awareness depends not only on our ability to sense our surroundings, on how we move and with how much effort, but also on how well we can sense what is going on inside of us. This is important because we derive our sense of well-being largely from our inner perceptions, which then guide our actions.

We know that there are a high number of sensory nerve endings in our skin, connective tissue and muscle. These are responsible for our inner perception, which can be stimulated to generate greater well-being, body-awareness and responsiveness. Massage therapy therefore is unique in that it gives us immediate access to positively enhancing body perception and motivating change. By learning to feel, a deeper connection with the body can be fostered, helping to recognise current patterns and making change a more readily available option.

When pain and discomfort are present they tend to dominate our inner perception and change the way we move. Often it is an indication that we have lost sensitivity in the affected areas. Stimulating a different nervous system response, and freeing up movement in the soft tissue at the same time, can make a big difference.
I am drawing on a wide range of massage techniques like Deep Tissue Massage, Thai Massage, Acupressure Massage, Myofascial Release and other techniques, the use of which depend on each individual case.

This seated massage, which allows you to remain fully clothed, has been developed in America by David Palmer from the traditional Japanese Amma Massage and stimulates about 90 different acupressure points during the full 20 - 30 minute session. Even the shorter sessions are both relaxing and invigorating. Areas included in the full 20 - 30 minute session are the upper and lower back, arms and hands, shoulders, neck and head. Shorter sessions of 10 - 15 minutes are ideal for work place massage.

In addition, it is also possible to work the lower leg and feet for 20 minutes, which is deeply relaxing. Again, the work is done through clothing, so you do not have to take your socks off.

I guess we can agree that people are the biggest drivers to the growth and success of any company. How about making the people working with you feel sensational, and be motivated to be the best they can be? How about making sure they are sufficiently present in their role and relaxed enough to make sound decisions?

The best decisions and responses are made when not stressed. The best creative solutions come about when most playful and relaxed.

By making us more mindful of the present moment massage helps turn obstacles into challenges and big problems into manageable tasks.

Chair massage at your place of work could easily be the best investment in the well-being of your people that you and your co-workers have made in a long time. It is cost effective and easy to fit in, whatever your requirements are.
