What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
To me photography is about capturing genuine moments and getting the most natural photos, whatever the subject is. I prefer to be a fly on the wall and only get involved if and when needed in order to capture the most candid and real moments possible.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
To make sure I understand how best to deliver the photos you want, I'll ask you all about the occasion or event, the people there and their connections or roles. I will also need to know how things will happen, so timing and locations as well as the space everything will take place. To make sure I get the best photos possible, I'll also ask you about the time of day and how much light there will be, if it is indoors or outdoors, if there are many windows or lights etc.
What do you love most about your job?
I love photography, but I also love working with people and getting the best possible photos I can. I work full-time in an office and this lets me get out, meet people and work on something that delivers something joyful for both of us.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I work full time behind a desk in the financial sector in central London, although being Aussie I miss being outdoors and being active. I grew up with a grandfather who worked for Kodak and was given my first film camera when I was little. Ever since, photography has just been a hobby but something I keep improving and enjoying more over the years. All my friends keep complement my photos and insist I become a 'professional photographer', so
Why should our clients choose you?
One of the first thing people usually comment after meeting me is how I am genuine, which I believe is the most important thing in life. I have grown up loving photography, mainly with the purpose of capturing memories whatever they might be. I also have an innate love for helping people, and in photography that means helping deliver the best photos and memories they can ask for.
