I've known Brendan since we were students so when I bumped into his lovely wife Deborah and told her I was getting married she recommended him as our photographer. We had a brilliant day back in May and Brendan just added to it, making the photos fun and light. It was nice to have someone I know as he put us very much at ease but I think whether you know him or not he's good at that anyway, with his cheeky chappy personality. I hate getting my photo taken at the best of times but let's face it, who does like getting their photo taken but Brendan will took the stress out this. May had two bad days and one of them happened to be my wedding day but Brendan just went with the flow and made the most of what we had, we even managed a few photos outside when it eventually stopped raining. Brendan Gallagher was the only photographer I wanted after experiencing his work at a friend’s wedding and seeing his work on social media. He very kindly agreed to come all the way to the Amalfi coast, Italy to shoot our wedding and he just went above and beyond our expectations from the word go. He is an exceptional professional, has a fantastic sense of humour and has a way of putting everyone at ease. We had numerous comments from our guests about how wonderful he was and he really added to the atmosphere of our day. Nothing was too much trouble. Brendan recently shot our wedding and was absolutely superb!! From the minute he arrived he had all us girls totally relaxed and was great craic. ..he captured great pics that morning throughout the day he was fast, professional and extremely easy to work with. We had a great consultation beforehand and Brendan stuck to the brief very closely. He also recruited a second photographer to capture shots from alternative angles so we've been spoiled for choice in options for our album. Nothing was a hassle for him, even helping with getting me into my dress!! I can't recommend him enough for any special occasions, especially your big day. I am some what of a control freak so leading up to the wedding I had sent Brendan images of pintrest boards full of ideas and he always bounced back to me quickly after with a full answer for me. I typed up a shot list/brief which he followed perfectly. We didn’t want images to be too formal and more candid which is just what we got.

I have known Brendan for years and we never got around to meeting about the wedding before the wedding but I was 100% confidant via emails he understood what style I was going for. Brendan does offer a full meeting before the wedding I just didn’t get around to it myself. Nothing is a hassle for him and he takes everything in his stride.

Brendan on the morning arrived good and early ready to go. I have an elderly nervous father so it was very important that the photographer was good with people. I told Brendan when booking I didn’t want my dad to be posed or bothered leaving us with the option of candid pictures which is exactly what I got. He didn’t get in the way of prep work and was never throughout the day pushy in anyway. My dog molly is like my child so it was important for us to get some cute pictures with her. Being a bouncy hyper black lab getting a good shot can be a challenge so to see Brendan was able to get me a handful of perfect shots of molly was literally the icing on the cake. When it came to getting single shot of me and the husband together I was a tad worried that my partner would come across nervous but in no way did this happen. Everyone felt at ease the whole day.

One of the main things that pops out from the wedding is the sheer amount of guests who made me aware that the photographer had just been amazing. This was even before we received the final images. Brendan just has a way with people like no other. If you want a calming photographer who will also get all the shots you need Brendan is the man for you. Brendan is a stylish man so he will always turn up suited and booted guaranteed.


When we got our final images back we were shocked at how many fantastic images he had actually gotten. He fly’s around and captures the most natural shots of your guests and bridal party. Some shots I can’t even remember him doing. Nothing was missed from important moments to fine details. If you want a perfect well rounded photographer for your important day their really isn’t a second option unless you want second best. I am still absolutely mesmerized by the photos Brendan took of us not too long ago. He is an absolute joy to work with, full of energy and very professional. It was our first shoot so we were really nervous to start with, but Brendan made us relax, while taking fantastic pictures.
In the end, we did not just have a lovely day out (although there was rain, he managed it well), but got fantastic pictures, a lovely professional photo-book and a lifetime experience. Definitely recommend him!! More...

From being bridesmaid in part of a previous wedding Brendan had done I knew exactly what we were going to get when booking him. From first pop his energy and ideas are amazing. Looking through our wedding photos was like literally living our day all over again, I didn't cry that day and nearly did at my photos! Nothing was missed and the focus and time put into the photos just falls off them. During the day we got to spend so much time with each other and our close family during the photos which was literally my favourite part of the day. My wife and I recently asked Brendan to look after our wedding photography. We were very impressed by his professionalism and personality, which kept the photography light hearted and the smiles on our faces (particularly when we both don’t like getting our photo’s taken). We were particularly impressed with Brendan’s creativity and encouragement when he got us to take ten minutes outside during our evening reception to capture a stunning photo of us both, one which we will cherish forever. Just to add that Brendan wasn’t even on duty at this point as we only asked him to take photo’s up to the speeches, which had long since passed. We were very impressed with the efficiency and turnaround time of the photo’s as we weren’t long back from honeymoon until we were enjoying the three hundred odd photos of our special day. Brendan strives to engage with each of his clients and capture the beauty and individuality of each of their personalities through his photography. I was one of his boudoir models and suffered from low self-esteem and low confidence before expressing my interest in being one of his models to use. Before meeting Brendan to shoot, I was slightly nervous but Brendan with his great humour, approachable attitude and fantastic direction give me the confidence to perform my best and he really did capture my inner beauty - something I thought had been destroyed through years of bullying. My experience working with Brendan was FAB-U-LOUS!!

Brendan is super enthusiastic about his job and I've never had as much fun on a shoot, ever!
