Upholstery Cleaning
Even if your upholstery doesnt look dirty, it can get that way over time, especially if you have small children or pets. Small dirt particles infiltrate fibres and can slowly cause miniscule tears. Food and drinks then get dropped and all that can take years off of the life of your sofa. Additionally, microscopic bugs can burrow themselves into your sofa and make themselves at home, causing trouble for those who suffer with asthma or other breathing and skin conditions.
If you choose to clean your upholstery yourself, you may be tempted to use a shop bought, ready made solution that you spray directly onto the material. A lot of these products contain toxins, such as acetone or other harmful chemicals like solvents, which can depress the central nervous system and cause epilepsy, as well as breathing difficulties and skin irritation. Some of them even contain nitrilotriacetic acid, which is a potential carcinogen.
Here at Botley Carpet Cleaners we will only ever use 100% environmentally friendly products. None of our products contain any of these harmful chemicals. They are applied in the pre-clean process and all residues and dirt are then flushed away with clean fresh water leaving no nasties behind on your furnishings.
Rug Cleaning
We work on all kinds of rugs from your modern man-made materials, through to your beloved Turkish hand knotted wool or silk rug. Every rug will receive a full pre - inspection to identifiy any issues, existing damage, or risk of colour migration. The pre-inspection also identifies any required stain removal processess and a full report is given to our client before the rug cleaning proceeds.
Our detailed pre-inspection process will determine the best rug cleaning method for your treasured rug. We only use the best quality environmentally friendly and fully bio-degradable chemicals. Your rugs are back dusted and then washed from the face yarn through to the backing material to remove all contaminants, elimanate all odours, and remove 99% of stains.
After the rugs are washed they pass through a centrifuge leaving them nearly dry. They are then hung in a fuly controlled drying room at the optimal temperature with dehumidifers and blower's for quick drying, taking away all risks of warping, rippling or shrinkage.
