My daughter started at yamaha music school when she was a little girl and now she has grown up with amazing confidence on her talent. Yamaha is one the best music school in the UK, with an excellent music teacher and staff. Louella will temporarily leave yamaha to start another journey of her life to take up a degree in the university with full confidence in music. My children has been with Birmingham music school for as long as I can remember! They have enjoyed coming here because of their unique system of teaching. The teachers don't pressure their students and they patiently guide them through the difficult paths. It made us very proud to see our kids perform confidently in concerts in and out of the music school. As a mature (49 yrs) student at at Yamaha I have found the team to be fantastic both in their own knowledge, support and flexibility of approach in adapting to what I both wanted and needed to learn. After playing guitar since my teenage years I had picked up a lot of poor practices and routines as well as many "bits" of knowledge. Adam and the team at Yamaha have managed to bring that knowledge together and enrich it with practical insight that I can use, and have elevated my playing to a level where I enjoy playing solo's, and understand what I am doing and enjoy so much more of the diversity of the guitar. Birmingham Music School isn't just for kids, it's for adults too! I'm learning how to play the guitar with Adam and the drums with John and I've been going there for about 2 years now. As an adult learner, I'm grateful for the flexible approach offered by the school. I've been given the option of working through the Yamaha syllabus to work towards grades, or to learn for fun with songs of my choice.
