Birchwood Park Golf and Country Club

The Birchwood golf course clubhouse is fantastic. It encourages ladies to lunch there. Its the sort of place you could take mum. There is also a modern gym there and a swimming pool. Lovely public course, proper tees and greens all year round, generally very well maintained. Driving range is OK too.

the staff in the pro shop is awesome. the facilities are good and the course is challenging but enjoyable. the restaurant is awesome with warm welcoming staff. the food and ingredients are of high quality..enjoyed the fish and chips with mushy peas not forgetting the superduperyummydelicious fillet steak with new potatoes and salad...thank you More...

Had a lovely evening at the works Christmas party. The venue is lovely, the food okay. On the down side there needed to be more bar staff and the dance floor is too small for the amount of guests.

Lovely kept course and great staff, even throughout the winter we played on the well kept greens and no temporary tees, gives the more expensive private clubs a run for there money

Excellent venue for the Kent Under 14’s triangular match with Sussex & Essex.
The teams, officials and parents were made very welcome and the staff were very supportive of our need.
Great Golf Course which proved a great challenge for the players and followed up with excellent food afterwards.

We recently had our parents 50th anniversary at birch wood. The staff were fantastic. Holly dealt with everything brilliantly and Jemma did a wonderful job in the evening making sure all our needs were met. Recently booked for my son’s footgolf birthday party. All the staff were very efficient and helpful, from the booking process right through to the food service on the day itself. Even though some children were late arriving as there had been a major road accident , the staff were very accommodating in delaying the start time until everyone had arrived. What a perfect place Birchwood was to have our engagement party! From the very start of planning right until the end of our party we had the best service given by all the staff at Birchwood! I would like to give a massive thank you to Steve Visser who couldn't have done any more for us and helped us and answered every question we had. We had a seated dinner which I cannot thank the chef enough for how amazing the food was. He met our needs and catered to us in every way. We had a slightly different menu and he did it amazingly. Our guests loved the food and couldn't believe the quality and the taste of the food. Great place to come for a number of occasions. There's a pool, driving range, golf course, restaurant and golf shop. Maybe more but that's all I've explored. Not played the Golf course for at least 6 years and was not impressed with it, hence the gap. But played it yesterday, in good condition, well maintained, obviously have an excellent Greenkeeper, Green, Tees and fairways excellent. Have recently joined gym, excellent induction/advice given by Michelle, detailed review of all the equipment. My son attends the junior golf lessons Sat mornings and thoroughly enjoys his lessons with James /Kieron who always make sure it's a skilled, fun lesson for all the children. We had our wedding reception here a month ago, cheryl & jaspal were very helpful, friendly & did a fantastic job organising our reception, in house dj chris was also great playing all our guests song requests as well as party favourites, the upstairs room looks out onto the golf course offering fantastic views, the food was plentiful & delicious, we had an amazing day/evening & would highly recommend this venue for a wedding

Attended a party celebration here for someones wedding the food was lovely (pate starter, chicken and garlic mushroom sauce main and apple pie desert was my meal of choice) good portion sizes the starter could have done with some butter and more bread tho (my personal view as there was alot of pate and nothing to put it on ) and the buffet later in the night was nice and hot. Drinks were an ok price a tad expensive but to be expected.
The room was set up very well staff were very nice . I cant speak for the rest of the place but since all the work has been done the overall appearance of the swimming pool etc from outside look nice.
My main complaint would probably be the car park and the road approach. The car park is not great and some people clearly do not know how to park or how to use mirrors as the bride was nearly taken out by someone reversing without looking. My comment about lighting on the approach is this waiting for my taxi to take me home the signs as to where to go were not lit and he went down the wrong road and then he had issues finding a turn around point and at night the whole car park is very very dark not reassuring when leaving a party.
