Great place! Convenient and easy parking. A stunningly beautiful receptionist whose name I won't mention, but you might want to travel the world just for a glimpse of her.

A nice hotel with lovely staff. Not handy for shops so if you want some midnight snacks pick them up before hand.

My partner and I had to stay in Manchester over night so we looked up for some good hotels in the area. We made the booking online on the phone and then we drove for about 15 minutes to the hotel (from the Manchester Arndale mall). We didn't have to wait long for our room (for the reservation to get through ). The room was big, nice and clean. There was hot water in the shower and quite quiet around. Our experience at the hotel was ok and we would definitely return in a few months. More...

Staff couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating... the room was very comfortable, I slept like a log on both nights of my stay, which was exactly what I needed as my visit to Manchester was work-related. At first glance, it might appear that the hotel is a bit far from the city centre, but you'll find that bustling Heywood town is just 10 minutes walk away, and the 162 and 163 buses pick up nearby, and get you into the heart of Manchester in about 40 minutes for just £4 - so don't let the location put you off. I will certainly be back again next time I visit Manchester. More...

We booked our son Daniel's 18th birthday party for Saturday 17th September 2016 at The Birch Hotel and I have to say what a fantastic venue it is. There were around 85 guests attended all of whom commented on how nice it was. The staff that served the buffet and the bar were, at ALL times, very friendly, courteous and happy to help and nothing was too much trouble for them. The Food was delicious, we had a combination of cold buffet (Menu 2 @ £12.95 per head and well worth the money) in addition to that we ordered chicken curry with rice as well as wedges and chips, all delicious and received lots of comments from guests saying how wonderful the food was!
The DJ (DJ Merv) was fantastic and Daniel wanted me to give him a big mention (he said if he ever had another party he would want him as DJ without a doubt) he was very accomodating with regard to playing what Daniel wanted, he was bubbly and friendly and was able to get guests up dancing (always a plus!) including some party dances :-) The room was very clean as were the toilets, bar area etc. The hotel grounds were beautiful and the professional photographer we hired for the night as well as videographer to film the evening commented on how nice it looked and made for a great background for the photos. I also need to mention the staff on the front desk who took the booking and who I dealt with from May 2016 up until the date of the party, Lisa, Kirsty and Sheliza, they too, were extremely helpful throughout, very patient and even called me a few days before the party to invite me to see the table lay out to check I was happy with everything.
Sheliza, I dealt with the most, and she's just so accomodating of any requests I made, she even drew up a plan for table layout and emailed it to me very late one evening. She knew I'd been let down by one balloon company so recommended 'Bomac Balloons' and got that spot on too! She would even ask if I'm ok and not to stress about anything, it felt almost as though we were friends!.. Thanks Sheliza

Lovely night last night at the Michael Bubble tribute. The room and food were well presented. Staff very accommodating and pleasant. The only drawback was the heating. It was very cold and that spoiled the evening a lot. More...

Thanks to the Birch Hotel for making our birthday celebrations a brilliant successWe booked the "Garden Room" venue for my birthday, in which I invited a variety of age groups who all enjoyed the evening and buffet providedOur DJ, who the hotel also arranged for us, was excellent. The staff were very friendly, helpful, supportive, and polite. Everyone who attended were satisfied with the bar and its staff. The beds were quite comfy and I received plenty of positive comments regarding our guest's overnight stay. In the morning, we were greeted by a breakfast buffet, followed by a full English breakfast-which was well cooked and well served. Overall, my experience at the hotel was very pleasant and delightful. I would definitely return again. More...

My husband and I took my Mum for Christmas lunch. The staff were very welcoming, the tables were beautifully set. There was no rush as just one sitting. The food was lovely and they even let me have an off-menu starter for mum Ashe didn't like the options. All in all a very tasty and well organised Christmas lunch. Thanks to Nick and the staff. *** If i could give 10☆ I would.***
Amazing staff - The most genuine, helpful hotel staff I have ever come across, no amount of money can buy this type of hospitality.
Rooms - clean, warm & spacious as was the bathrooms. No disturbances from outside or other guests throughout a full weekend stay. Even house keeping didnt wake me up at the crack of dawn like most hotels tend to do.
So if youre looking for somewhere to crash whilst on a weekend bender. Deffo the best choice.
Or if you are away from home with children there is a huge outside area with picknic benches for them to run about and for you to relax.
Or even if youre looking for a quiet hotel to stay during business trips... this place is without a doubt the best choice.
I never write reviews normally unless its to warn others of a bad experience but for the first time ever i write a review because i cannot fault these guys!
In short I will without hesitation recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone.
Thanks again guys.

We stayed over on a last minute decision for 1 night. Staff couldn't do enough for us. Very helpful and pleasant . Comfy bed and room was warm. It was during beast from the East so lots of whistling through window from wind but handy man fixed it. Shower nice and bath too clean and tidy. Just a bit old fashioned in corridors and reception. Breakfast was a disaster with wrong orders but after a couple of attempts it was sorted and plentiful. More...
