Clean, spacious, and well kept gym. I went for a swim with a friend who is a member. It was easy to check in as a visitor. All facilities are easy to access and clean. The swimming pool has 6 lanes and when I went on a Thursday afternoon it was not crowded at all. There is a small park outside the building where you can go for a warm up jog before hitting the gym. Seriously, Virgin as a company are marketing maverick, so if these guys can't get you to exercise with their wonderful fitness imagery and the "superb innovation" at this Fitness Club in Fulham, God help us all!
However, if they manage to capture your attention (and we hope they do) , and you like a lots of options at your Fitness Spaces. Check them out.

Very nice swimming pole. Big and clean. Staff are very helpful and professional. Prices a bit expensive. The only issue the ladies only time is limited which stops mums from attending that time

Top facilities, everything is brand new, great courses and helpful staff. But what really makes the difference for me is the Racquets membership - for like 20 quid you get full tennis membership - that's insane.

Clean and modern gym with the latest equipment. It's all you need having also a pool with access to the public pool also along with a sauna and a steam room. I joined 2 month ago and not being a usual gym goer this gym has made me want to go more and I've been there at least 4 times a week. More...

Classes and PTs are good, facilities are great (though could do better cleaning). People are friendly and the gym equipment is good and mostly new. It had great physiotherapy facilities too. The soap and shampoo in the bathrooms is meh. Overall a good gym. More...

(3.7/5) Nice gym area and brand new changing rooms especially since the recent refurb. Opening time is a bit tight for anyone working in the city, 30mins earlier like some other Virgin gyms would actually make it possible to do a proper workout in the morning.
It's definitely one of the largest pools in the area, but not super convinced about the hygiene standards, seen a few bits and pieces float around in the pool when swimming and although there is a "shower before using the pool" sign, in practise it doesn't seem enforced and people just tend do jump in without showering
On the plus side, they do some good classes and the sport studios are large, airy and give on to trees outside which is a nice touch.
So basically great potential but still some room for improvement !

A tad confusing place as there's a Virgin Active and a council pool in the same building, with different entrances. Both are operated by Virgin Active.
This review only covers the public pool. Which is lovely. 8 lanes of swimming first thing in the morning? Cracking!
The facilities were clean (although the pool perhaps needed a little of a clean on my visit, but nothing major) and the staff friendly and helpful.And at £3.20, the charge is cheaper than the £4.15 charged by Better at other pools in the borough.

I loved this Virgin active the most out of all the ones I went to in London. Really great trainers and lots of space. I even tried to come here after work rather than go to my local in the city. I eventually changed as the prices for a premium gym was too much. A downside was that they didn't seem too happy I had split my time between Moorgate and here, which was a little strange. Of course as it's a bigger gym, you don't get a personal feel going through the main gates. More...

I really don't know why this gym is not rated higher! All the bad reviews almost put me off joining, thank goodness I went there to see what it's like before I wrote it off. This place is fantastic, everything there is brand new, clean and spanking, the showers, changing rooms, pool, gym floor, studios! Lots of fantastic classes with great instructors, helpful front desk staff, massive windows overlooking Normand Park, lots of machines, great core section... I am so lucky I live just 5 minutes away. Definitely the best gym around and I tried easygym, Lillie rec, fitness 1st and La fitness in sth ken. Most people who write reviews do it to complain so just ignore them and see it for yourself!
