While I was VERY patient throughout my working with Krste on the plans for my loft, and in turn he was also flexible on the second part of the payment, I feel I’ve been completely done over here. I’ve paid a large amount (to me) to only have received part of the work promised. Hi Lucy. I acknowledge it was taking much longer than anticipating to resolve the issues on your project but I can assure you it was no because of luck of trying on my behalf. The biggest issue was the remoteness. When we both agreed to deal with this on line/remote neither you nor us realised the complexities of your existing roof structure and the ceiling level being all over the place and not suitable for the remote approach. Realizing the complications I took a whole day off and came to inspect your property and spend at least 8 hours driving from London to Hull and back. I would not have done that if I did not sincerely wanted to try and sort things out. Unfortunately one visit was still not enough to provide all the answers so we will still need to try to resolve this remotely. I am still happy to assist with your project in any way I can, As for the fee being large amount I definitely would disagree. So far all you have paid was £650 The site visit alone cost me around £350 in fuel and time and jus think how many drawings and revisions we did. I do not know what the fees are like in Hull but for London and the South East we definitely have a very competitive fees. Just check the reviews from all our other customers...

I cannot recommend Krivco Consultants highly enough. I needed a written cause of damage report for my insurers urgently. I couldn’t find anyone in Norfolk to do this, the location of my holiday home. Krivco Consultants offered to make the 6 hour return journey, spend 4 hours digging to ensure they had a full picture and charge a very reasonable fee. There are not many professionals who would be so fair, so accommodating and not take advantage of a complicated situation. My property is a furnished holiday let so it was also very important not to disturb or upset the guests. Kris is extremely knowledgeable and has helped us accomplish a very complicated, high risk basement project successfully.
From initial desktop appraisal, consultancy, party wall surveyors, ground investigations, to implementing the build with ongoing project management, the service cannot be faulted.

Krste is an excellent architect. He initially did our drawings for the loft conversion and the extension. We developed a good relationship through the process as he is very understanding and listens to the clients needs.
Our confidence in him and his abilities grew so we hired him to take on the work of developing our loft and extension as a project manager who also has a background in structural engineering.
Our loft is outstanding. He has managed to maintain a great ceiling height throughout our loft, absolutely stunning. We highly recommend him. In addition to other few smaller jobs we had the pleasure to work with him on, we hired him to do drawings for a loft conversion in another rental property.
I have also recommended him to a couple of people who have used his services. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

While all other reviews are from actual clients, real people I have done work for, this is a review form a person that has never met me, I never did any work for or took any money from ... They originally got offended by the following text: "Hi Shahin. I am very serious about your project - it is so close to me and I'd really love to be involved - but for the right fee. Too little will be no good for me and too much not fair to you. Please bear with me just a couple of hours more... Many thanks..." The big majority of the people I have come across would rather know the cost of a service before they appoint someone, so I try whenever possible, to give a fixed fee up front and most of my perspective clients seem to prefer it that way. Unfortunately in this instance, this perspective client of mine, misunderstood my well meaning intentions and started accusing me for trying to rip them off and that was even though I never asked them for any money upfront (I never even got to the point to give them a quote). They simply seem to got offended just because I tried to be open about the costs involved ... As soon as I realised that my well intentions were misunderstood, I tried to explain, offered to meet in person, even give contact details of clients I have already done work for - all to no wail... All I got was a verbal abuse (all in writing as it was a text message exchange). I had done nothing to deserve that and it seemed that there was nothing I could do to change their misconception about me either... Following all of the insults, some of them a bit too graphic for this portal, I of course, would not touch their project even with a barge pole, but, I would still welcome an opportunity to meet and try to clear the air and assure them of my genuine well intentions... It is by far the worst treatment I had by a client or potential client in over 30 years in business and with more than 500 projects behind me... and I did not do anything to deserve this type of abuse... For anybody wandering how come I usually get 4 or 5 star reviews from the people I have done work for and 1 star review from I person that has never met me, all I could say, it is a mystery to me too. I am definitely not proud of it, but anybody really wanting to know the full story, could simply send me their email address and I will happily send them the screen shots from the full exchange and let them come to their own conclusions…

Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
1. Appointing an architect and getting the plans agreed.
2. Obtaining planning permission/Certificate of lawfulness.
3. Appointing a structural engineer and getting the structural drawings and calculations ready.
4. Submitting a building control application/notice.
5. Appointing a builder and starting the work.

Getting to meet a variety of people and being able to guide them through the building process and achieve their objectives.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I like challenging myself and advancing on a personal level. Starting my own busines was personally challenging, it forced me to develop new skills that I never would have attempted if I was working for someone else. It’s changed my confidence level and my entire life, not just my career, and this continues to keep me motivated and get me through tough days, or days where things don’t go the right way.

YES. All we usually need to do in person is one site visit in order to familiarise ourselves with the property. All subsequent meetings, submissions of plans, calculations etc are being done remotely.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We usually meet our clients on site (it is the best place to discuss their requirements and take measurements) which means they do not have to travel and expose themselves to the virus. We also were masks when visiting and being indoors and keep a distance if meeting outdoors. All our personnel has also already received 2 doses of a Covid-19 vaccine.
