The room clean and comfortable although it could be updated to have a walk in shower, but that is my personal preference. The swimming pool and jacuzzi lovely . The service was excellent from start to finish. The lady, Grace, who I was in communication with, was very helpful and understanding. The whole event was organised to such a high standard and for such a reasonable price. Everyone I spoke to had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed the food, xmas novelties and photobooth. I took a long time deciding where to stay prior to my holiday departing from East Midlands. This hotel was perfect as it offered a parking package on site plus free transfers to the airport and back. I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel in a comfy room with good refreshments and nice cookies. The hotel has a lovely pool and spa that are free to use also. I parked my car in the car park round the back of the hotel for my 12 night stay. Transfers to and from the airport were super efficient by taxi and took less than 10 minutes. I had a lovely breakfast on the day of my flight. Worth booking it in advance to save a few pennies. ||A great value for money stay. Not a lot more than parking at the airport. Booked our xmas work lunch here for the 3rd year running and 15 of us met there today for a business meeting in the morning followed by a festive lunch. What a superb venue, central to my East Midlands colleagues and so many great things to note about the venue, staff and food. Venue is easy to access, free parking, free WiFi, recently redecorated and really smart. Particularly gorgeous xmas decorations this year so well done with these. Staff were all so welcoming, efficient, and responsive. Plenty of staff to meet all our requirements. Food was scrumptious as usual but a particular mention for the perfectly cooked mussels and the pannecotta. All round a superb experience and we all went away with great memories of a fun social occasion with not a single complaint or unhappy diner. Excellent hotel. Fantastic clean room with all the usual things you'd expect. Really liked there was a bath and a shower. Shower was in the bath but prefer that to no bath as I like to have a soak in the tub . Was on a hen weekend. The Marco Pierre restaurant is very good. Breakfast was delicious. Helpful friendly staff and room service good. Went to a murder mystery night (Greatest Showman theme) in one of the event rooms. We held our Golden Wedding celebrations here in November ||Just wanted to thank all the staff for the service and the chefs for the food||You all made our day most enjoyable, we are already looking into booking a Christmas meal there||May I also add that the atmosphere in the restaurant added to the occasion , we would have no hesitation in recommending this venue to others!

Six of us stayed on a Saturday evening for a spa package with Escape room. We had a wonderful time. We had been booked into double rooms Rather than twins but we were able to swap with no problem. We were warned that our new rooms were above the function room, but any noise could barely be heard. The beds were wonderfully comfortable and the heavy curtains meant that the sun was blocked out allowing for a bit of a lie in. We had afternoon tea in the restaurant - a bargain at £15 per person, plenty of sandwiches and cakes with the obligatory scone and jam. The spa treatments were great, although the other spa facilities were a little underwhelming - not much room to sit and relax and the jacuzzi is quite small. We had dinner in the MPW restaurant, and despite some poor reviews we had seen, we found the meal to be very pleasant - good, basic food with good sized portions. Breakfast wa also good - a nice cooked breakfast if you wanted it and plenty of bread, pastries, fruit and yoghurt if you didn't. The Escape Room, which is what attracted us to the hotel, was great - very well managed by a lovely young couple. Will definitely come back to try the USS Redemption room. More...

A group of 6 friends stayed at Yew Lodge for an overnight spa package ||Bought lunch in the bar, nice sandwiches, then started with the escape room experience, good fun and we managed to escape! !||Had a couple of hours in the spa, treatments were great in really nice rooms, spa itself is a bit limited (as expected in a hotel spa) steam room, sauna, pool and hot tub, not really space for relaxation but well worth the cost of the package and clean ||The deal included dinner at Marco’s restaurant and bed and breakfast ||Evening meal : very good food and really lovely friendly and helpful staff, we had live music which was a bonus!||Hotel rooms were well equipped and clean ||Great breakfast, again really lovely friendly staff on duty ||Parking was an extra cost but reasonable ||Lifts broken while we were there but that didn’t affect our enjoyment of the hotel More...

This is where we hosted the UK Reflexology Conference and they did us proud again. this is the third conference that we have held here. They take the greatest care to be of best service to all of us in the team and for our delegates. We found the service to be excellent and had lovely feedback fro our delegates too. A group of six recently visited the Yew Lodge Hotel on a work trip, and we were all blown away by how well we were treated. ||||Our main reason for visiting was to experience the 'U.S.S Redemption' escape room, which was phenomenal. The attention to detail in the experience made it incredibly immersive and atmospheric, and it was easy to become engaged in the narrative of the experience. It was easy to believe that we were lost in space! The staff member leading the experience (Matthew) was superb, and was full of energy. I won't spoil any of the details, but we managed to escape and we all agreed we would love to try the additional escape room on offer in the future.||||The Hotel was immaculate and well-decorated, and the Marco's New York Italian restaurant was a pleasure to dine in; I had a pizza that the chef was able to make vegan for me, which was delicious. We were staying for 2 nights as we had some business to attend to. |We really liked the bedroom. Warm (we had to open a window) as it was so warm but better this than be cold. Comfy bed. Very clean. Good TV picture. Hospitality tray was well stocked as was the bathroom. |The hotel is comfortable, however, we were a bit disappointed with the food at times. Firstly, Marco Pierre White's restaurant, which I've reviewed separately. Also we were disappointed with the breakfast on the 1st day which was a weekday. We came down for breakfast around 8.45 so not too late.The bacon was like shoe leather and the sausages were dried out. They had obviously been there for ages. I ordered a cheese omelette and the cheese didn't have much flavour. On the 2nd morning it was much better with a chef at the hotplate serving fresh fried eggs. Also I would have expected in a 4 star hotel to have some type of fish on offer. Kippers, smoked haddock or mackerel or smoked salmon would have been appreciated. We don't always feel like the usual cooked breakfast and the extra breakfast offerings on the menu were hardly inspiring! Other Best Western hotels we've stayed in offer more choice. A coffee pot on the table would have also allowed us to top up when we wanted to. To sum up - the hotel is comfortable and the service on was good but the food is sometimes missing the mark. More...

We visited this lovely hotel last weekend for my daughters Hen Party, it was fabulous. ||There was a mix-up in the booking of the rooms but Christina on the reception was brilliant and sorted it all out for us. All of the staff were pleasant and friendly and nothing was to much trouble. We were all very impressed with the quality of the food and the service both for the evening meal and the breakfast. We went for 2 nights to this hotel, including dinner and breakfast at Marcos (fantastic), an escape room experience which was great and spa treatments. The girls in the spa were lovely and very informative. The only downside is the spa isn’t the most relaxing one I’ve been to and there were a few things out of order. The room was big and well equipped, the man on reception went out of his way to find us extra fruit tea bags. We stayed here for 2 nights while attending a funeral in Nottingham. A relative booked it for us. We didnt pay much so didnt expect much. We were pleasantly surprised. The team at Yew Lodge are second to none. Our original wedding planner left the company but the transition to Grace’s care was seamless, Grace is kind, professional and extremely approachable, from the first email I knew we’d got a diamond! Nothing was too much trouble, no question was too silly and Grace did everything to make the day perfect for us. We cannot thank Grace enough for everything she’s done for us, our day was fantastic and Grace was an absolute rock throughout the entire journey. Rob was our master of ceremonies and we’d have been lost without him! The day was ran smoothly and everything was as we asked, again, nothing was too much trouble. Rob was always on hand to fix any queries and give us regular updates on what was happening. The rest of the team were also faultless, kind, very helpful, and courteous. The rooms were done up beautifully and more perfect than we ever thought they could be, the day went so quickly but everyone was around to keep us grounded and enjoy the day! Thanks to everyone at the Yew Lodge Hotel for making our day completely unforgettable, there aren’t enough words to say how we feel but these felt like a good start. We used Yew Lodge for an overnight stay while visiting nearby Donington for a motorcycle event.|The room was lovely with lots of added extra touches. |The bed was really comfortable and room temperature was just right.|Bathroom was spotless with lovely Elmenis products, nice fluffy towels and plenty of toilet roll.|Tea and coffee facilities, bottled water and biscuits.|We hadn’t booked for evening meal in the restaurant, but the restaurant staff did their best to fit us in, by offering us a table in the bar area with the option of ordering off the full menu.|We had 2 coeliac sufferers in our party, and was provided a good gluten free menu.|The restaurant/bar area had a female singer which gave a nice ambiance.|Breakfast was gorgeous, plenty of choice.|I have 2 very slight niggles....There was a wedding party being held in an adjoining room...a lot of the wedding party wandered in and out of the bar area....(quite drunk and loud) Our room was above the hall where the wedding reception was being held....we could hear the music but didn’t really bother us, and was stopped promptly at midnight.|My other niggle was the receptionist who booked us in on our arrival wasn’t particularly welcoming or friendly, considering how lovely everything else was,she let the hotel down.|Full marks Yew Lodge, we had lovely time.| More...

Stopped here before an early morning flight with my two friends, also used the holiday parking here. Easy place to find and great place, was very impressed when checked in straightaway giving all details for our early morning taxi and what to do upon return. The room was a lovely large triple room. We were all very impressed. Ate at the bar and not bad value. Upon landing rang the number and told to go straight to arrow taxi desk, and a taxi was there immediately for us!
