What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Good composition and attention to detail. Often the best photos come around when the subject is not aware of the camera and is happy and relaxed. (reportage style).
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What would you like your photo shoot to achieve and have you currently and ideas for how you'd like to achieve it? Would you like tea or coffee? ( the best ideas often come form an informal chat about the project over a brew!).
What do you love most about your job?
The variety and the challenge. There's someone new to meet each day and somewhere new to visit. No two days are ever the same, some are more challenging than others but we always get there in the end and hopefully have some fun on the way.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always wanted to work in television since I was young. After being made redundant from an international camera rental company I became freelance and apart from a few years off to work in a sixth form college, I've been freelance since as a camera operator for television and am once again now as a photographer.
