Exterior Painting
Very disappointing experience. Initially pleasant, progressively irritating, I heard them discussing how much they would charge, for a change that was agreed, they then came back with a silly speel, about cost of paint then told me the price they had discussed before they had gone to get the paint.
Fundamentally these guys quote low then try to run the price up. Telling me I should of known it would cost more. I presumed so many years of experience would equate to quote I could trust, not a starting point of cost. They told my partner that I wanted them to do something illegal. Which was not mentioned when the job was first quoted. Bottom line, poor. Once issues started I looked to the web and found another review that had almost the exact same issues.
The younger of the two is the one who tries to run the quote up.
As for the work they did not cover windows when painting unless I provided materials, although the quote was for all material,

We masked all the windows up and coated all his pebble dash with one coat to the side and rear of his property. We had under estimated for the materials as the paint was absorbing into the wall so approached the the client and explained we would require an additional £100 to pay for the extra paint and he became very nasty and obnoxious. We made the decision to walk away from this job. The client did NOT pay us as we did not charge him even though we had painted one coat every where. his wife was happy to negotiate and infact he did come back and suggest he would pay us the extra money but by then we had moved onto another contract. All contractors only want good feedback and on other sites we have has excellent feed back 10/10 Bark have approached us at the moment to ask if we would like to come onto this site ( which we havent used for sometime) as an Elite client. I am considering this at the moment but did not want to come back onto this site without putting this review to bed so to speak. We have always got on very well with our customers. We have regular ones who come back to us time and time again. We honestly believe this client was just an unpleasent sole. He had one coat throughout his external as a FREEBIE. We new we had made a genuine error but the walls just drank the paint as we applied it. So as a new customer considering us please try to overlook one negative and consider other feedbacks I have on other sites. Thank you.

What do you love most about your job?
We have now been in the sames business for over forty years and still enjoy getting up each day to go to work. Its a joy and privilege to see our existing clients when we get the call. But enjoy meeting new customers. To take a run down unhappy property and after a complete redecoration the property comes to life showing off its full glory once more for all to see. Our clients smiles on there faces as they see the transformation is fabulous.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Brian done a five year apprenticeship with a company called Decorative Specialists in Kensington and went onto work for many companies including Taylor Woodrow where he was a foreman for many years but felt he would enjoy having his own customers and clients and though he would enjoy the fact that not every week would be the same and this is what inspired him to go it alone , but then his nephew joined up and the rest is history so to speak.
Why should our clients choose you?
The usual buzz words come into play here ... reliable, trustworthy, friendly, professional, experienced, the list can be as long as you want but the proof is always in the faith of the client willing to give an unknown company a chance to show it is what we say it is.
All we can confirm is we are passionate about our work and we are only as good as our last customer and we only want happy content customers.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We follow goverment guide lines as set out. We gave all had two vaccines now as well.

We also carry out work in commercial properties like shops, schools, hospitals, care homes, hotels, ( we specialise in wide papers ideal for hotels)
We even worked on Euro Disney before it openend in France.

We can turn our hand to most small jobs like electrical, tiling, plastering, please ask we will be only to pleased to offer you a bespoke service.
