Q&As

Working outside with nature and helping others make the best of their gardens.

I am passionate bout all wildlife forms and the health of our planet having had a successful corporate career Wildlife Conservation and Horticulture was always my prime objective

I am highly experienced, certified by the RHS and have a wealth of knowledge to help combat gardens now being affected by climate change. My connections are second to none in helping provide the very best materials and plants for gardens.

I can do both being very tech savvy and able to communicate effectively via many media outlets.

I was a volunteer for the Covid testing programme from the beginning and helped to provide samples and data relating to the virus. From this I was able to advise others working in the Horticulture industry how to best keep safe.

Services

We can bring both old degenerating gardens back to life or transform bland empty spaces into beautiful gardens. We always listen to our clients and what they may want but not necessarily need and guide them through the design process with great empathy.

We have strong links with a number of high class nurseries which allows us to source even the most difficult and rare plants.

Whether this is for an Orchard, Screen of Pleached Trees, Topiary, Hedging, Shrubs and Perennial or Annual planting we take every care to deliver the best quality plants at good prices.

There is no better sight than a full and flowing Wildlife Meadow. We support our clients in helping them select the right site and mix of flowers to maximise the impact and how to harvest and make good the meadow areas to ensure repeat flowering year after year.

Whether this is just a small bubbling water feature, Koi Carp Pond, Large Wildlife Pond or even a swimming lake we can use our collective expertise to deliver something spectacular.

The bones and beauty of any garden always relies on a solid and beautiful construction of paths, patio areas, terracing and edging to offset the planting.

Where existing materials can be reclaimed and recycled is always at the forefront of our endeavours which not only saves money but also the planet!

People forget that trees are just a very big shrub and do need regular maintenance. They can be hard to maintain and need nurturing through the initial few years to allow them to establish properly.

The same applies to hedges which are often unsuitable for perimeter borders and left unchecked at roadsides.

When to Top, Raise the Crown, Pollard or Coppice it is vital to know when and how this is needed.

Our arboreal team are experts and will always look to make the best decision.

We can source and install a number of outbuildings of any style or dimension required. These include compost bins, Sheds, Greenhouses and Car Ports.

As our weather becomes more and more prone to extremes of heat during summer it is essential that to protect your gardens you have water sources to combat this.

Irrigation can be as simple as just installing an outside tap and a hose or a series of drip / leaky hoses laid in borders through to complex systems with timers and flow regulators able to comply with drought regulations and keeping your garden alive.

As our climate hots up more and more gardens are looking to install plants which can survive extreme heat conditions and Mediterranean plant species are becoming the norm.

The best way to embrace this is by building a Gravel Garden which when installed and established will need little or no watering and will self seed and regenerate every year providing a beautiful garden area.
