Visited here today for the very first time on the recommendation of my friend. WOW, what a beautiful little hidden treasure this place is! It is only a 15 minute drive from my home in Milton Keynes and 5 minutes from Old Stratford. Could not fault a single thing so I will share everything that is right about this place! There is ample parking right outside the Tea Room and as soon as I walked through the door, I was greeted by its friendly owner James, and the smell of delicious food cooking. The assortment of freshly home baked cakes, cookies, pastries etc are to die for! Coffee cake, Victoria sandwich, toffee apple cake, chocolate cookies, mince pies, Tiffin cake, and much much more. The tea room(s) are so spacious and double doors lead out onto a little courtyard at the back, which would be absolutely delightful on a Summer's day. There is also an upstairs room which I guess could be used if visiting here for a special occasion and wanting a bit of privacy. The menu is so extensive and literally caters for all needs/tastes. The only problem is deciding what to order but I know I will most certainly return again and again and therefore will just have to work my way through the menu! Today I had Hunters chicken wrapped in bacon and cheese with salad, homemade coleslaw and triple cooked chips which are served in a tin bucket. It was all freshly cooked and absolutely mouth-wateringly de-blimmin-licious!!!!!! I literally cannot stop telling people about Artea and can't wait to return with family and friends so they too can have a 'slice' of this wonderful experience! ☺️ More...

Found this place by accident online while looking for a venue for my baby shower, couldn't be more pleased with it. Afternoon tea was wonderful and they catered brilliantly for a variety of different allergies within my group. The upstairs area gave us privacy and let us feel like we were the only people there. Then to top it off, we totally lost track of time, ended up being still there an hour after they closed but at no point were we made to feel pressured or like an inconvenience. Completely accidental that we were there so long, and we all felt terrible about it! More...

Went today with my son and two Grandaughters, had a wonderful cream tea with scones, cream jam and also fresh strawberries, grapes and Kiwi. The tea room is lovely with very friendly staff in beautiful surroundings overlooking the countryside with small play area and free range chickens wandering about. We usually also start with a lovely walk through the woodland walk which the children love but Grandma not up to that today ! More...

I had my High Tea baby shower here and James was amazingly hospitable and accommodating for my 21 peeps plus 2 kids and 2 babies/buggies! Especially as it was on a Sunday and he had someone call in sick that morning! So it was just him and two lovely girls tending to us on one side of the building and also tending to all the walk ins on the other side of the shop! They never showed any signs of stress and were always smiling! The high tea presentation, variety and taste was impeccableI couldn’t recommend them more to anyone! This is becoming a staple meet up place for myself, friends and family x More...

Super cute place! Everything is mismatched, from the crockery to the furniture, which adds a really fun and cosey aesthetic. I had a very tasty pot of rooibos and would love to go back and try the food some time, as it looks great. More...
