Shoddy work from start and never returned to finish. Ripped off and angry

Do not use. Cowboy. Left job with excuses and was always asking for money and left job with work not done

I saw Adam's poster on the house on my street and asked for the quote. He made a positive first impression and the standard of work in the house he showed was quite good. He started off OK, but the job was going rather slow until he just disappeared!!! Unfortunately, I stupidly paid for most of the work and carpets which I have never seen! Adam did not answer my daily phone calls or e-mails, he blocked my phone.
I never had any explanation or apology.
I was quite worried thinking he might have injured himself at work or had bad COVID. But when I called him from a different number he answered in a very bright healthy manner, promised to call me back, but never did.
Extremely disappointing experience.

DO NOT HIRE!!!
Property repair? Destruction more like. Hired him to repair floor under bath and replace joists, replace plaster board and re-tile.
Never turned up on time. Then left job with more issues than there were to start with.
1. Bath is dropping again as floor joist just propped up with wood not fixed to wall.
2. New floor board is lower than rest of floor.
3. Waste pipe not fitted correctly and now leaking.
4. Overflow pipe not even fitted!
5. Didn't replace plaster board or tiles.
6. Shower screen has 5mm gap and won't stay in place.
7. Left all the rubbish for me to dispose of.
Contacted him to get it sorted daily for a week, each time he gave me a different excuse. Now after 3 weeks without a functioning bath I'm faced with having to hire another tradesman to do the work. Sadly he took my savings and I can't afford this. Only contact I've had is when I told him I was reporting him to trading standards. Asked for refund guess what? He's gone silent again. I wouldn't trust this cowboy to change a light bulb!

Very low quote but assurance would be completed to good quality was available immediately which I should have been wary of. Shoddy work, never on time and didn’t complete.
