What do you love most about your job?
I have always been really passionate about all things aquatic. I love the calming sense of nature that a beautiful aquarium or fish pond can bring. This is why I decided to start AquaFanatics. Ultimately bringing your passion to work everyday and doing something that you love, means that work doesn't feel like work. I really love seeing the variety of different aquariums that people have built, and enjoy helping people get the very best out of them by providing a service that is valuable and allows me to share my knowledge and experience with people.
What inspired you to start your own business?
For me, I chose to start my own business because I wanted to do something for myself. Ever since I started my MBA program almost 10 years ago I wanted to be my own boss. BUT LIFE ALWAYS GOT IN THE WAY! I had a young family at the time, and a mortgage and a great (well paid) job. So it just felt like too much of a risk!
But then I had a moment that changed everything. - I was away on business in California and I had a phone call from my partner to say that our middle child was in hospital. I felt so helpless! I was so focussed on providing the lifestyle for my family and the kudos of the "Job Title", that I was actually missing out on the most important part of the whole thing - being a DAD!
Years on, and I now have the balance right. I run a successful business, bringing the joy of aquariums, exotic fish to homes, gardens, local businesses, care settings and schools. I'm challenged everyday, and the variety of support I can offer makes everyday an adventure. But most importantly my work/life balance is spot on.
After all. That's why we all start on this path, isn't it?

I have no doubt that there are many other companies working within this space in East Anglia. But for me there wasn't a service that put the needs of the client 1st. This is where AquaFanatics is different.
Everything that we do is designed to take the hassle away from creating a beautiful aquatic space for our clients.

I am still yet to find a way of providing our Aquarium and Pond services remotely - Nothing beats getting your hands dirty and actually being present with our trusted clients.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
All of our teams are fully vaccinated, with Covid-19 Passports. Should you wish to see evidence of these prior to meeting in person, we would be happy to help you.

Our fully managed service takes care of all of the maintenance that your aquarium will need for the time it’s with you, leaving you, your team and those that matter most to you to take full advantage of your fully branded, unique aquarium.
We provide everything you'll need including all the hardware, decor, filtration and of course the fish too. We even provide the fish food too.
Aquarium Maintenance
We’ll keep your tank a sparkling and beautiful feature of your home or workplace and a healthy place for your fish with regular maintenance visits. Every tank is individual so we treat them that way too, but most tanks can be kept looking their best with a visit every two weeks or every four weeks.
Our team has years of experience in aquarium maintenance, including Marine, Tropical and Coldwater setups. We’ll put this knowledge into practice on your tank so you can enjoy it hassle free.
Pond Maintenance
If you've fallen out of love with your garden pond or water feature, we can help you. Whether you're looking for a one off spring clean to remove that stubborn algae or a more long term maintenance package to keep your pond looking fantastic, our team is here to support you.
