A garage is suitable for conversion when the principal structures (foundation, wall, roof) are still in good conditions.
A garage is suitable and add value for living place (room or chitchen extension) when the garage is attached to the main building.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
* Pre-information on the project:
- Drawing information.
- Permission information.
- Start date information.
* Arrangement of apointment to visit the site in order to know the state of some principal and minor structures:
- Proof checking of walls, foundation and roof.
- Floor slab – the existing floor may need to be levelled, damp-proofed and insulated.
- Infilling of door opening (In most garage conversions the garage door is simply bricked up).
- Wall insulation
- Roof insulation
- Windows & doors
- Eletrical and plumbing installation.
- Painting and decoration.
- Cleaning and submission of Keys.
