SERVICES:
Counselling Therapy
I believe that humans are inherently good and are fully capable of moving towards growth and reaching their full potential. However, this ability can sometimes become distorted by certain life experiences which can have a negative effect on a person’s sense of self-value.
If you are struggling with emotions, relationships, impulsive behaviour, low self-esteem and confidence, pessimistic thinking, feel stressed, are looking for change or just need someone to listen.
I can offer you help and support to focus on healing and moving forward.
Life Transitions Therapy
A life transition can be positive or negative, planned or unexpected. Some transitions happen without warning, and they may be quite dramatic, as in cases of accidents, death, divorce, job loss, or serious illness.
Other life transitions come from positive experiences such as getting married, starting a new job, moving to a new home, or giving birth to a child. Events like these are usually planned and anticipated, they can be just as life-altering as the unexpected events.
Life transitions are periods in life involving lots of change to your lifestyle. Life transitions may run smoothly but people often struggle to adjust to change and may find these periods of life highly stressful.
I can help you put the pieces of your life back together again in a new way, making room for new possibilities.
I can help you learn to design a new life that will move you beyond just coping and surviving, so you can thrive in all areas of your private and professional life.
Adult ADD/ADHD Coaching
While ADHD can have a positive impact on energy levels and creativity, it can also create challenges in other areas of life.
Learn how to work with your strengths to transform challenges into accomplishments and how to manage everyday tasks at work and in life. Transform that negative inner critic into a supportive inner voice and experience joy.
I can help you understand ADHD and its impact using strengths-based approaches and mindfulness techniques.
THERAPY LOCATIONS:
Counselling in the open-air - All of us have had to learn to cope with the new challenges that COVID-19 has brought us in the last few months. People have had to put off coming to face-to-face counselling, but you can now consider having counselling with walking and talking therapy, which allows you to be in the open air – and in today’s language, completely “socially distanced”.
Walk and Talk Therapy
This form of therapy works brilliantly for anxiety, depression, bereavement, work-related stress, anger issues, and addiction.
Breathing fresh air, feeling the sun, hearing birds and experiencing the outdoors, while walking, relaxes the patient’s mind enough to loosen the anxiety and allows natural conversation.
Online or Telephone Therapy
Telephone or Online counselling is becoming more popular as an alternative to face to face work. In terms of practicality, it has the benefits of being very flexible due to not having to travel to access therapy sessions, meaning it's suitable for very busy people who just don't have time to spare. It's ideal for people who live in geographically isolated areas, those who don't have access to transport or have difficulty with mobility.
