It’s a fantastic looking place close to the Angel of the North, check in was easy and the reception staff polite. We were only here for one night and didn’t eat, but had an hour or so in the bar area.
Dean Taxis are local and offer great service. Rooms are functional and clean if a little noisy with late guests and fire doors.
My partner said the bed was firmer than we would like but it’s a personal thing.

Stayed here for one night at the Angel view Inn ,to meet friends and was very inpressed so very easy to find straight off the A1 . checking in was very smooth lovely staff on reception.spent most of the day a beamish that is a lovely day out .had a evening meal at Angel view we all enjoyed very much . We want to say a massive thanks to all involved in our wedding on Saturday especially Amanda. From our first meeting with her until the actual day she was amazing.
The day could not have went any better. The whole team went over and above all expectations and looked after us every step of the way from decorating the room to the food (which was amazing). Thank you again for making it a truley memorable day we could not reccomend you enough. We will sure to be seeing you all again in the future.

I would highly recommend this lovely restaurant, the food was lovely and excellent value, and the staff and particularly the Manager were very friend,y and helpful. Visited yesterday with around 25 cheerleaders for a meal before heading into the Metro Arena.
About 20 different dishes ordered, all looked gorgeous, all hot and all delicious.
Amazing value for money and the service couldn’t be faulted.

As part of a group of 8 lads looking for some food and a TV to watch England vs Panama today we were passing on our way home to Doncaster from a night out in Edinburgh. Well... we were made to feel very welcome by the owner and his wife(?) who looked after us for our 2 hour or so visit. We had a few drinks each and the 3-courses for £16.95. Absolute bargain! The food was top notch, the staff were very, very friendly and couldn't do enough for us! Will definitely call in again if ever I'm passing. More...
