Home & Domiciliary Care

Alpha have been perfect. They have done everything I asked of them and checked in with me. I have been in hospital and they have looked after my dogs very well indeed.

They gave excellent care to my mother who is housebound. The ladies and gentlemen who I met were always very kind. There were challenges, especially during covid when my own access to my mother was limited, but Alpha carers worked very hard to make sure my mother didn't go without.

The girls at Alpha cared for my mother who had dementia for two years. They were the second agency I had in to care for her and I cannot fault them. The carers all knew their responsibilities and were well trained, they were compassionate, patient and took great effort into making my mother feel comfortable, safe and respected. The carers that she had on a regular basis, would go above and beyond for my mother. I cannot thank them enough. More...

I have a long time relationship with Alpha helping look after my wife Julia in our own home.
Over that period she has been well looked after without her suffering and bed sores etc. The carers have treated her with patience and help her maintain her dignity. It has only been on extremely rare occasions where I have been concerned at the way she was being cared for.
However the care package recently has been improved again as we are having the same 3 carers each week.
Our carers do everything possible to help me so that I can get a break when they are looking after Julia.
In the past I have had concerns about office contacts and having one or two names of Alpha Office staff would be helpful. However with the current call frequency this is not so big a concern.
Our calls are now the same times each day give or take a few minutes which is a great help, whereas in the past they varied considerably which did cause problems.
The physical care of Julia was always maintained.

Q&As

Working in the care sector can be one of the most rewarding jobs. What I love most, is making a difference to peoples lives. In many jobs, it can be surprisingly difficult to put your finger on the specific difference you have made. But in care, the difference is immediately clear. It’s clear in terms of the practical results you achieve – helping someone get dressed, wash or cook a meal – but it’s also clear in the effect you have on the people you care for.

I worked as a social worker for many years prior to starting my own agency. I realised how many people struggled to get care packages that fully met their needs-like cooking, shopping, cleaning & social inclusion. I felt that there was a good opportunity to make a difference to peoples lives and support them to continue to live independently within their own home.

It is important when considering a care agency for your loved one. Choosing us means everything that you need is tailored to your needs, in the comfort of your own home.

We can carry out personalised support plans and assessments online or over the phone. However, we love to meet our clients in person and carry out face to face assessments.

We have a robust Covid-19 policy and work in accordance with NHS guidance. This is reviewed and updated regularly.

Sit in service is temporary care to provide caregivers relief from the full-time care they have been providing for your loved one; caregivers can have some time away from their duties means that everyone involved can reduce the pressure on their shoulders and the person needing care can receive it consistently.

This includes but not limited to:
Running errands- Such as help with your mail, picking up groceries or collecting a prescription on your behalf.
Caring for your pets-Your carer can help look after your furry friend, including feeding them and taking them for walks.
