Can’t thank Allan and his family enough for taking care of my dad, John, who sadly passed away on the 16th August. During this difficult time we were really taken care of and put at ease, we don’t know what we would have done without they’re guidance and support. There are no words to express the care and attention we recieved from Allan, June and Paul, From the moment the first phone call was made Allan went above and beyond to take a lot of the pressures of our family, contact was made all the time leading up to the funeral and courtesy calls on morning before being picked up, Allan and staff value what they do from the bottom of there hearts and take really good care of your loved ones so once again Thank you so much the Mclaughlin Family.

We cannot put into words how grateful we are to Allan & the team for the great service that they provided us with when our beloved mum/gran,Mary passed away. From the first meeting with Paul, we knew we had made the right choice.The service they provided us was exceptional, they listened to our stories about our mum/gran, offered recommendations for the flowers, order of service and other things and all of this was perfect. From the moment I spoke to Alan on the phone I knew our mum/Nan/great Nan would be looked after in the way that we would want to do ourselves. He took time to listen to what we wanted and answered all our questions and put up with us popping in and different times. He also offered suggestions that made the final touches more special.His recommendations for where to get flowers and have the purvey were 1st class. He made sure that we were happy with everything that he was doing. On visiting mum in the parlour he had laid her out looking so peaceful that even though we were distressed we were also happy that she no longer had confusion and pain crossing her face. On the day of the funeral he gave a courtesy call to ensure all was well. My uncle who uses an electric wheelchair was helped into the limousine by Alan and his staff in a very caring manner. We were really pleased from start to finish with the whole process and we would recommend Alan Menzies funeral directors for the burial of your loved one. More...

They go beyond 100% to make an extremely emotional and sad time in one's life endurable. I would highly recommend them they are a 5* team.

Allan is compassionate and understanding, at 26 I had no idea of the process but Allan made everything so straightforward, he even putting us in touch with a Minister. He even offered more personal touches for us to make things even more perfect. Allan kept us up-to-date with everything, and told us everything that we needed to do. Allan showed the greatest care and attention to detail when he helped us lay out Wee Mum to rest. To say he goes above and beyond his duties as a Funeral Director is an understatement. Allan helped us in every way to ensure we gave my Mum the best send off possible. Nothing was a problem and he was always at the end of a phone 24/7 or would meet with us at anytime to help us with our loss. We couldn't have asked for anyone better to help us through a very sad and difficult time, he's such a lovely, kind person and shows he really cares.It may not be my place to say but when I saw the negative review about Allan's services left by a Melissa Bradley, I felt I had to comment, as not only is it complete nonsense and disrespectful to Allan and his family but it's also disrespectful to my family and my Wee Mum, plus all the other families Allan has helped.
