Took some Mat and Reformer one to one classes with Louise at the studio and highly recommend them. She was lovely and thoroughly professional. Helped me a lot in getting some of my techniques right and even though I was on a holiday there, I always looked forward to her class. Keep up the great work ! More...

I have had to attend a few Back Care classes in past couple of years after recurring lower back injuries. Gardening!!! They have always helped my recovery. This time I also had physiotherapy sessions. I now need to keep up the Pilates exercises regularly at classes. I highly recommend these classes if you suffer lower back injuries. Mine were muscular so can only comment on the good effect on them. More...

Just finished my second Back Care Pilates class with Pilates Leeds and can't recommend enough. Really feeling the difference - much more aware of my own body and starting to feel stronger at my core.

I really benefit from these classes. I've been to other organisations over the years but this is definitely the best. Individual attention is given during group classes and every ability is catered for. I've always felt at ease and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I'm moving away from Leeds shortly and hope I can find somewhere as good! More...

I have been attending a beginner's Pilates for approximately a year now. I appreciate a relaxed atmosphere of this class, and find it reassuring that it also focuses on the quality of movement and the right technique above all. It has done wonders for my back and spine health and the teacher's methodical and individual approach paid off. More...

This is a relaxed class, very much centred on working within personal limits and promoting flexibility and well-being. I always feel better when I am able to regularly attend. I have been going to Alison's classes for over 10 years, they are fun, quirky and well considered. More...

Q&As

I enjoy helping people to move more and to move better. It is very satisfying to watch people get stronger and have more stamina and seeing them being pleased with their own efforts and achievements. It is a privilege to be allowed to help people in this way, and I don't take this lightly.
I'm also fortunate that Pilates keep me flexible and strong!

Going back to my old job after having my 2nd child and finding that I was unwanted! It as miserable, so I thought, "what on earth can I do instead"
I already taught Pilates on the side, so to speak, so I trained as a gym instructor and quit admin to teach Pilates, Cardio classes and work in a gym. Gradually over the years I have specialised more and more in Pilates although I keep my hand in with a bit of BLT, HiiT.
I am inspired to keep going because of the amazing benefits that we can get from regularly doing Pilates and this applies to so many different kinds of people, regardless of ages, fitness level, degree of injury or whether or not you have ever done a day of exercise ever in your life!

I have 19 years of experience teaching Pilates. I'm still learning, discovering and developing, but it's a good start.
I have three great colleagues who are fabulous teachers and about whom I constantly hear great feedback.
We are competitively priced. We try our utmost to offer Pilates at a price that is affordable to as many people as possible.
Choose us if you want to move more and move better, if you want to do a form of regular exercise which will help to alleviate aches and pains, help you to improve your posture, give you more strength and flexibility.

Yes. Since March 2020 I , like so many other people have moved onto Zoom. I offer Zoom classes and Zoom based 1:1 sessions. My booking system is fully integrated with Zoom

Before the latest Lockdown I adhered to the Government guidelines regarding social distancing and cleanliness. We had live classes with a 2m x 2m space around each participant, gaps in between classes for air flow, use of sanitiser, everyone bringing their own equipment/mats etc
Here is my policy

Regarding my home studio, it has its own entrance in the house and its own bathroom. It is big enough for me to teach safely but I have had to reduce the Back Care Sessions and Small Group Work to just 2 people and not 3 any more. Again, I have a policy regarding mask wearing, cleanliness and the timing of sessions

Services

Small , community based Pilates classes. The biggest group I teach is 12 people and in Meanwood classes are just 8 people. These are Matwork classes but we do add small equipment such as exercise bands.
Booking is online; there is no need to block book or book a course, although there are price reductions if you buy a pre pay card

I teach with the Reformer, Wunda Chair and Spine Corrector at my home based studio in LS8. In these sessions I also use Pilates matwork exercises

I run these courses from my home studio. There are just 2 of you in each class and they run for a set of 6 per course. We go gently and carefully to make sure your back is safe whilst you still get your Pilates session and make strength and stamina gains, reduce aches and pains, gain flexibility.
They run on a Friday morning and Tuesday evening

for you and a friend or you and a family member. Almost Personal Tuition but not quite.
I run these from my home studio in LS8 . Matwork sessions but we use the Spine Corrector, and other small equipment like hand weights, body bars, fit balls

I offer 2 different options
Firstly I do an online 5 session course that has just 3 people in each course so plenty of time and "space" to talk about the various issues that we have to cover. I give you a tiny bit of homework to do in-between (plus the recording of the class to redo in your own time)
These generally run on a Tuesday evening
Secondly I see people in person in my studio for work specifically on the Pelvic Floor. This can be at any mutually agreeable time
