My name is Jo and I am the founder of Alfred House, a creative interior design studio in Central London. At the heart of what I do here is the belief that good design contributes to happiness & wellbeing and that a home is more than just an aesthetic.

What’s your interior design process?
It's all about getting to know you, how you live and what makes you smile. Designing your perfect home is such a personal experience but it should be fun to! In our initial talks, we'll talk not just about your likes, dislikes and general requirements but also what your ideal process looks like. Then together we agree what happens next.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
I have the freedom to really interpret what my clients are looking for and deliver on that, rather than having to comply with a 'studio style' or balance various project commitments.
What do you love most about your job?
I love creating beautiful things, composing harmonious and balanced spaces that make my clients happy.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Interior design has always been something that fascinated and excited me. My background is in business development and I'm actually glad about that because I believe it's given me a much more solid understanding of the practical & financial elements of interior design - and we all know how important that is! But the idea that the spaces in which we live can affect our happiness, our well-being and our productivity, well, I just couldn't resist the idea of helping people create homes that improve all these important things in their lives.
Why should our clients choose you?
Interior design is a highly personal process and depending on the scope of your project it can be as lengthy one as well. So I cannot stress enough the importance of working with someone you feel comfortable with. I'm not going to be the right fit for everyone but the best way to find out is for us to have a chat. Take the time now to talk about what you're hoping to achieve, ask (lots of!) questions about the process, my style of communication, my experiences & advice - it's the only way we'll get a feel for whether we'll be able to work together!
