Although a lot of people would think that an accountants job role is the same thing, working with the numbers, having my own small accountancy business is very different. The most interesting part is working with a variety of businesses from self-employed construction workers to limited companies who deal in transport or manufacturing. The main goal for any accountant is to be available for all clients large or small when they have queries, no matter how trivial.

Having spent 22 years with a larger international company in the financial role I decided that rather than assist just one company, my knowledge and working ethic could benefit many others, in particular those who are just starting out. From the experience I have gained running my own business, I could not only assist with their financial records but could offer advice on the highs and lows of running your own business. I understand that hiring full staff to carry out the day to day bookkeeping, payroll and financial reporting could prove costly not only financially but time consuming from an HR point of view. By outsources some of the services would be financially beneficial to a business in the long term and after all that is what people are most interested in, making enough profit to live a comfortable life.

We are a small but highly respected family ran accountancy firm. Our motto is to do more for the client and do it well. We are not your typical accountants, we are friendly, pleasant and very down to earth. Being involved in a variety of roles in my previous job I personally have an all round knowledge of running a business and think that no question is a silly question. What we agree with a client we deliver, on time, professionally and at a reasonably cost. We would like to think that once we gain a client we would have them on the books for a long time to come building the relationship professionally and personally between the two businesses.
