About

I offer a safe space where you'll be listened to with respect and understanding. We'll explore together, and you'll get a new perspective on whatever is causing you distress or preventing positive change in your life. Your situation is unique, so I’ll draw on a wide range of skills to help, including Mindfulness, CBT, Therapeutic Coaching, Focusing and Sand Tray therapy.

Q&As

Seeing the change in a client from the first session to the last can be an incredibly rewarding experience. I also enjoy learning more about therapy so I love reading the latest research.

I realised that this is the work I was born to do; the rest followed!

I could tell you about my training and experience, but the best answers come from other people. JUNO magazine wrote: "It's hard to imagine a more grounded therapist than Adrian Harris". One previous client of mine wrote: "I found my time in counselling with Adrian to be deeply transformative. It helped me move through and integrate old patterns of behaviour into healthier and more joyful ways of being." Another wrote: "The first thing I noticed about Adrian was his patient and gentle manner. Adrian is a great listener, one of the best I've met actually."

Services

I am an experienced qualitative researcher. I have a PhD (Religious Studies), an MSc (Counselling and Psychotherapy). I have published three journal articles, four book chapters and three encyclopedia articles. Two more book chapters are forthcoming,

I facilitate workshops in stress management, creativity, nature connection and diversity awareness

I offer Counselling and Psychotherapy from my consulting room in Gandy Street or ecotherapy outdoors.

Life Coaching and counselling are usually seen as separate disciplines, but they’re closely related. It’s not unusual for my counselling clients to want life coaching once they’re feeling back on track. If you’ve been struggling with mental health difficulties for a while, it’s very likely that your life will be off-course, and that’s exactly where coaching can help.
