I’ve been training with Chris for the past 6 months, a 1-2-1 hourly session once a week. Chris also produces a gym based program that I can work with in my own time. I can honestly say that these sessions have made a positive impact on my fitness, physique and my mind set. I’m more motivated to train and also to eat well. Sessions are well balanced and if there are exercises that you really hate he will replace them with something else. All in all I can highly recommend Chris and consider the cash I spend to be an invest in my future health. More...

I have been going to one of Chris Kettlebell classes for some time now and I have really enjoyed it. I approached Chris for some nutrition advice and he introduced me to procision nutrition which is a healthy eating program. I have always been a fan of the gym and fitness in general but my eating habits was not great so something had to change. This program is a year long and a lifestyle change. I have been following the program now for 12 weeks and already I am looking at what I eat, the amount I eat and also look at why I've failed on other eating plans. This is not a diet but a life style change and hopefully the transformation into a healthier me. Chris is there at any point I need to discuss things on the programme and gives me feedback and encouraging comments. He's also there with fitness advice if needed. More...

I’m stronger, more toned , more focused & confident in my running . It was a great decision to go with PT and Chris has been brilliant. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. I have been having weekly sessions with Chris for a couple of months now, my goal being to improve overall tone and fitness. I was doing OK by myself but was getting bored with the same routine and lacked a bit of direction. Chris has devised a training plan, taking into account my goals, strengths, weaknesses and a shoulder injury I am carrying. I certainly feel my body is toning up and changing shape. My overall strength has noticeably improved including my injured shoulder. Chris is enjoyable to work with, we do have a laugh. He is not the sort of trainer who stands and shouts orders at you, but neither will he let you slack which I like, he keeps you motivated. I would certainly recommend Chris, he is an excellent trainer & his prices are reasonable. If you don’t think you are quite looking for 1 to 1 training and would prefer group training, I can highly recommend Chris’s kettlercise classes which I also attend regularly. Following an accident, March, 2017, when a car reversed into the back of my knee, I suffered injury to the back of my neck, shoulder, leg and knee. I had a course of rehabilitation, which consisted of massage and gentle stretching exercises.I then worked with Chris, who planned a program to improve areas of physical weakness, through a regularly planned and changing exercise routine, to further build physical strength and stamina. Months later, I am much physically stronger.I can highly recommend Chris to help you with your training program. I started going to the gym in Jan 2017 and was shown how to use some of the equipment on my induction. Each subsequent time I went to the gym I was just did same thing as I felt a bit shy about using equipment I had never used before. Chris comes up to me now and again and teaches the correct way to use the equipment. I realised that I would benefit with a one-to-one training session with him so I booked one. Not only did Chris show me alternative ways to exercise the same muscles, he showed me a variety of uses for basic gym equipment, discussed with me how I could replicate the exercise at home, assessed my general fitness and strength, diagnosed the areas that could be improved and prescribed how to achieve that.I would recommend Chris to anyone as not only is he a knowledgeable professional, he is approachable, friendly and fun. I've been using Chris since January 2017. I just knew I was getting a good PT what knows what he is doing when he sits down with you and goes though any health problems you may have or had and talks about the goals you want to achieve. He then sets up a plan to work too when you aren't in one of his sessions. I have struggled for many years with my shoulder after breaking it, when I moved suddenly or knocked it I would be in pain after 4 month I could feel the difference and now don't have any problems with it. Chris keeps you focused and motivated and has different challenges every session.I would have know problem recommending Chris to anybody. Chris doesn't just train in Northallerton so if you have any health or fitness problems give Chris a ring you won' be disappointed More...

I have been trying to get fit for months and was struggling on my own. One to one sessions with Chris has been beneficial in terms of teaching me the correct way to perform each exercise and gain the best results. Each session is varied to suit your goals so you don't get bored and he teaches alternative ways to achieve the same result. Chris is patient and encourages you throughout the session. I now enjoy exercising and look forward each week to learning new ways to achieve a better level of fitness. I am currently working towards taking the RAF fitness test, without Chris I don't think this is something I'd be able to achieve. As a newcomer to the gym Chris first set me up with a workout plan to do between our training sessions, a big help. I see Chris every week or so now and I'm always exhausted at the end of our sessions, a good thing, apparently... He keeps each session different and challenging, he is always patient and friendly. It is 90% of the battle for many people.
As a nutrition coach I can provide healthy eating habits (that does not mean you need to be on a diet!) with me there to guide you.
This can also include exercise aimed at your goals - this can either be exercise you do at home with some simple equipment or I can write programmes based on gym workouts.

I help my clients by listening to their needs. Then agreeing with them goals for them to work to, a plan to get there and then helping them achieve their goals. Whilst the plan may be as simple as A To B, sometimes life gets in the way, I am here to help you get back on track.

Don't yo-yo diet, learn to eat more healthily.
This coupled with personalised exercise can you help you achieve the body you want. Not all exercise is equal though. Just because an exercise is on YouTube does not mean you should do it!

I have worked in many companies and the last one was a perfect example of how to run a business badly. I decided I had had enough, what was the point in being a highly qualified professional and good at my job if my job was being turned into "messing around with spreadsheets...". (No, I wasn't an accountant).
I decided to re-train combining things I already had a great interest in ( I was a Training Manager and I had a lot of fitness experience).
With Personal Training the primary task does not change. Help people improve their health and fitness.
Since then I have added further training and qualifications that I feel will help benefit my clients.

I listen and I adapt my style to suit the client.

Personal Training does not have to be a Trainer shouting in your face the whole time, that won't work for most clients.

It doesn't matter if you have had previous injuries or illnesses that limit your ability to train. It doesn't matter if you just don't really enjoy exercising. It's on me to make it possible, make it enjoyable and make it worthwhile!
