A finishing touch

Yesterday I was mother of the groom, I was aware that many eyes would be on me, I wanted to look & feel my absolute best. Catherine did my makeup .She was amazing! She provided a truly professional service, promptly responding to messages & being punctual. When I explained what I wanted Catherine “got it!”. The look Catherine created was flawless without feeling heavy. The makeup lasted all day & was as fresh looking in the evening as the day. I was delighted with the result & felt happy with my look all day. The Wedding was the best day, Catherine played an important part of that for me. I chose Catherine for my wedding look because she is an incredibly talented hair and makeup artist who still managed to work to this bride's budget! The photos of her work speak for themselves - she's incredibly versatile and works to her client's best features. From my trial with her, I knew I was in good hands. She didn't make me feel overly pressured to wear heaps of makeup and worked with my desire to keep everything quite natural and bohemian-chic. It's so hard to find a good stylist who actually listens to you these days, and I was relieved when she agreed with every word I said after my trial - I asked for some changes from my original look and she was very happy to oblige. Catherine really just wants her brides to be happy and feel like the best versions of themselves, and that's exactly how I felt on my big day. For my wedding, I asked her to do my hair and makeup, plus my mom's hair and makeup, plus style the hair of all five of my bridesmaids and she was an absolute magician from start to finish. She and her assistant not only managed to get everyone looking STUNNING, they got my girls done on time despite 4/5 of them showing up 30 mins late! I don't know how they did it, but they worked swiftly and still managed to nail all the details. I would 100% recommend A Finishing Touch for your hair and makeup - you will look absolutely stunning without having to take out a second mortgage on your house! Catherine was the make up artist for my wedding. She helped me and my 4 bridesmaids feel absolutely beautiful. Laid back, relaxed and very skilled, she made us all look a polished version of ourselves. We don’t wear much make up and Catherine was mindful of this, really emphasising our natural features rather than painting us as someone else. The make up lasted fantastically into the evening. Catherine did my hair and makeup for my wedding on Saturday 11th November and I can't thank her or recommend her enough. I received compliments all day about looking amazing, stunning and fabulous. There have been pictures put on Facebook which have received more of the same compliments. More importantly, I'm not very good at receiving compliments as I have very low self-esteem, I generally take compliments with a pinch of salt, however, due to Catherine's amazing skills I knew I looked gorgeous (brought a tear to Gilberto's eye when I walked up the aisle) and I was able to genuinely believe and enjoy the compliments I received. I could not have asked for a better person to have done my hair and make up on my wedding day. From start to finish Catherine was incredible. She listened exactly to what I wanted and was always willing to tweak things as required.On the wedding day she was such a friendly, calming influence. It was really like having a friend there! Catherine was amazing and ticked every box - and she is fabulously skilled with Indian skintones! The trial and the wedding day was a great experience. She listens and can easily tweak things as she goes along. I loved the hair and make-up look she created that matched both my traditional Indian outfit and my English white dress. She was able to do subtle make-up for my mum and a stronger look for me and my bridesmaid (without ever looking overdone). She was also very professional, organised and flexible (eg able to travel half-way through the session), and helped us all out with the timings in the monirng.
