What do you love most about your job?

I love the challenge that comes with growing a business in a service industry which comes under a lot of criticism. Keeping on top of all our contracts is a challenge that is rewarded by satisfied customers and long term relationships. Various competing companies promise a service they do not consistently deliver, our mission is to set ourselves above the rest and deliver what we promise time and time again. It is a great feeling meeting with our customers, receiving their positive comments and knowing a business I have worked hard for is well regarded and we are a valued partner in helping their business grow.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I have always had an entrepreneurial outlook, starting off selling chocolate bars at school for a profit. I was massively disappointed when I witnessed the standard of cleaning being carried out a large organisation my friend worked for. I then did some research and discovered many other businesses were receiving the same. The opportunity to make change was then staring me in the face. The next day (after an excited sleepless night) I began the process of detailing how Aqura Cleaning would be different and most importantly how we would deliver a high level of service over and over again. I told myself if I cannot achieve this, businesses will constantly be faced with an unreliable cleaning service from badly managed companies, who don't look after their staff or their clients facilities.
