With many years experience in the catering industry including some of the best Michelin Star kitchens, gastro pubs and then some of the top event catering companies in london and on the south coast Martin and Jamie decided create a youtube channel called The Rustic Chefs to bring you the rustic locally sourced foods, be it foraged mushrooms from the new forest , bass from lymington, or smoked garlic from the Isle of Wight.

Sadly we didn’t even get to try the food as they failed to come back to us a lot to finalise our booking. Said they had been really busy which is great but then failed twice to contact us with the details to arrange as promised. What’s your signature dish?
Well this is a heard one fo us, we both have different ideas, i would say i don't have one, as i love just using great local produce, love the waters we have around us and the forest lands, so to me i would say its all about the seasons and using great fresh ingredients. Jamies signature dish is probably his steak ranchero which is beef and chorizo in a creamy chilli sauce, does taste amazing!!
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
Most importantly is to listen to what the client wants, and we believe our job then is to expand on that and offer similar options, but the client should always have the final say and input
What do you love most about your job?
Fo us, it meeting people and seeing there face when the job is done, we love being part of someones event, planning what were going to cook, getting excited about the flavours the meats or fish we can use and then interacting with them, while cooking up a treat for there guests.
What inspired you to start your own business?
We both have families and wanted more of a work life balance, while building something for our childrens future. but we still have a passion for great food, so doing this gives us the work / life balance we wanted rather then having to sacrifice our passion of great food for a 9-5 job.
Why should our clients choose you?
This is something we cant really answer, all we can say is we offer a bespoke service, so sit down with us for a coffee and slice of cake and lets see what we can come up with, if you feel comfortable talking to us the were be more then happy to work with you for what ever your trying to plan.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We test ourselves before any event, we are happy to where face masks while working with you, all our staff will use sanitiser and will maintain social distancing from your guests ect
