Wir hatten drei Doppel (eins mit Kinderbett) für eine Nacht als Stopover auf dem Weg nach Cornwall gebucht. Bei Ankunft war die Rezeption unbesetzt, aber eine junge Dame aus dem Inn erledigte das Check. inn schnell und routiniert. Die Zimmer, alle im Erdgeschoss, machten einen etwas altmodischen Eindruck, in einem war ein grosser Wasserfleck an der Decke. In allen Badezimmern waren die Silikonfugen um die Wannen mit Schwarzschimmel versetzt, nicht schön. Ansonsten nichts zu meckern: Betten bequem, Tea & Coffee-making facilities ausreichend vorhanden, Fernseher funktioniert, Geräuschdämmung ausreichend. Die angrenzende Strasse ist ziemlich befahren, man hört aber (bei geschlossenen Fenstern) fast nichts. Das Inn ist gemütlich, der Service gut, Getränke und Speisen ordentlich. Preisniveau ist für GB normal. Das Frühstück (im Preis inkl.) ist gut und reichhaltig, man muss nur fragen, wenn man noch etwas haben möchte. We have stayed here a couple of times and do plan to return.We really enjoy our stay.The only problem was the Jacuzzi bath did not work and the shower would not turn off in the morning.Food and service was lovely too

Location great, wonderful building with great character, I suspect it was ‘new’ In the sixteenth century! Really quiet but great for walkers. Good size car park, plenty of space.||Check in was very straightforward and our room was located in the newer extension. I say newer, it wasn’t modern.||The furnishings are a little tired but functional, tv worked fine and so did the plumbing! The bed was very comfortable and plenty of towels and toiletries supplied.||Due to the location it was very quiet and dark! So a great nights sleep with no interruptions.||Breakfast was brilliant! Fantastic choice, I had the full English, cooked to order and top quality sausages and bacon. Probably one of the best I’ve eaten but that matches with the excellent meal we had the previous night.||I asked for more tea and it was with me almost immediately. Something I have struggled to get in some hotels.||Breakfast is included in the very reasonable price. Forget Premier Inns, choose the New Inn! More...
