Adele has been the resident photographer at Lilliput Concerts Bristol for over a year now and every picture she has taken has been fabulous. Not only is the quality of the end product, the photos themselves, wonderful but Adele is super at hiding away capturing the moment without being obtrusive to the musicians performing or the audience. From the outset, Adele made us feel completely relaxed and at ease. The focus was capturing us as a family having fun to achieve some natural, ‘non-posed’ photos. Adele took shots so subtly; it was as if we were just playing at home. She was great at giving gentle direction and allowing our little ones to take a break whenever needed, in addition to encouraging their lively characters! What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The art is in creating the right environment, the right vibe, so that people can relax. The genuine authenticity of the person or people being photographed can then shine through, as the focus is not on the camera, it’s about being present in the moment.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Clients ask about my bespoke services. Every business is different and has their own needs and priorities, so every shoot is tailored specifically to that client. I offer packages, but they can be adapted, or a bespoke shoot created.
Turnaround time - it depends on the scale of the job. Usual turnaround time is 2-3 weeks, but if there is an urgent need for faster delivery this can be discussed.
Payment plans - yes, I offer payment plans
Clients don’t like to reinvent the wheel (who does?!), so I work alongside graphic designers and web developers (using your brand guidelines), reducing the amount of time the client has to manage the project and repeat explanations of what they need to multiple parties.
I have strong collaborations with copywriters, graphic designers and web developers if my client requires additional services.
What do you love most about your job?
Capturing the business stories of my clients - and showcasing what makes them unique. Many business owners hide behind their logo, branding or business name, and my job is to help them step up and be seen, with authenticity and professionalism. I love seeing the business I work with flourish as they take themselves to the next level.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Quite simply, I love taking photos. I gave up my career as an engineer to go into the field of photography full-time in 2015. Photography is more than a passion for me, and to see the transformation in my clients (and their businesses) following their shoot is truly wonderful.

I'm for you if:
- your business is at a transition point - you’re getting your website redesigned, or going through a rebranding process
- you understand the importance of the People in your business, your team, your clients. It’s the people that make the business, the products and services are secondary. They all form part of the story, but you know that people need to be the main focus.
- Story-telling images are the most powerful form of marketing your business. You know and understand this, and are looking for a photographer who “gets it” too.
