Tommy came down to landscape do my back garden side path and also front garden. Tommy has an excellent team who were friendly hardworking and did an amazing job. Enjoyed working with them from start to finish I would highly recommend for big jobs as well as small. Nothing is too big, tommy helped me plan my garden and slabbing. The block paving in the front garden was done excellent and the work was done cleanly with attention to detail. Changed to a block paved drive instead of imprinted concrete, Tom did quote for both but I went with block paving as I wanted a more rustic look. Very happy with the quality and finish of the driveway, it does look really nice. Thomas is a top chap. Polite, always on time and very passionate about doing things properly, not a bodge job. I had a few quotes for the job, however Thomas stood out from the outset offering a good price and short lead time for a fairy complex job. Efficient too, from quote to completion was a matter of days!

He made sure I was informed via text (including images) and call when any decisions needed to be made as i was out, and explained why he was doing things the way he was doing them.

The lads he employs were all very friendly too, and made sure my garden and drive were left nice and clean once the work was complete.

Gaz Dan and Scott arrived promptly on both days and worked solidly for two days with a pleasant positive attitude. They new what they were doing and checked regularly with us that everything was being done to our specifications. They were polite courteous and willing.
Thomas oversaw the complete job ensuring materials arrived at the right time enabling the 3 workers to proceed without any disruptions.
We would recommend Thomas and his team for any landscaping work and would use them for future jobs.

We asked Thomas of Stately Builders to finish off the front of our property by completing a paving slab pathway and preparing and finishing the driveway in Cotswold stone. This included 2 manhole covers in the pathway, and a brick border around the drive to hold the stone.
1. Thomas was a good communicator and kept me regularly informed as to what was happening and when, both by visits and phone. This is important when using builders that you don’t know, and I appreciated this greatly.
2. The 3 guys who did the work were terrific and a pleasure to have around. Because of the hot weather, we did supply loads of drinks during the 3 days they were working, but they proved worth it. Pleasant and keen to do us a good job.
3. As I guess is normal, one or two problems came up during the job, but we were able to resolve these satisfactorily because of the excellent communication.
4. We are very happy with the finished work. The drive looks good and we were given good advice as to how quickly we could use it and how to maintain it.
5. Based upon this experience, I would have no hesitation in recommending this firm to other potential customers. If I need further work in the future I would certainly look to use them again. More...

Work was carried out on the hottest week of a heatwave, and I can't say I envied them working in those conditions. Guys never stopped (even cleared weed infested paving at the side of the house while waiting for materials to arrive as a bonus). Now have a maintenance free garden to relax in and invite people around for a get together and neighbor enviously glancing over the fence to check it out. More...

Really pleased, our garden was such a mess, overgrown and out of control. Within 2 days it was transformed thanks to Thomas and his team. Thomas asked questions as he went along, making sure we were happy with what they were doing and went out of his way to help us choose the colour of the stones they were going to use.

Having had interest in my garden renovation job from two builders on this site, I was so glad it was Thomas and Stately General Builders who came back to me - I could tell from Feedback on the site that the project would be in safe hands.
I appreciated from the outset that Thomas was not the pushy kind of guy who would overprice the job, or make it seem more than it was, as many would - some people out there are very forceful and won't listen to a customer's requirements or budget constraints, and they can become aggressive if things don't go their way. As I explained to Thomas what I wanted, and the total price I could pay, he was very calm and very fair, which put my mind at ease.
The work involved making my back garden low maintenance - digging out the remnants of dwarf conifers and various plants, levelling/compacting the earth, laying membrane down, and finally putting chippings on top.
The job was done in less than two full days, and I am very happy with the end result. Thomas and his team are the kind of tradesmen you would wish to work on your property - very friendly, down-to-earth, and above all, very hard working. They do work for you to the same standard that they would do for themselves, and there aren't many tradesmen like that out there. Nothing was too much bother, and they went the extra mile, even down to tidying up.
