For any musician or singer, the thrill of performing well, especially in front of an audience is something special. And if you have such aspirations of carving a career in music, or just want to have a great hobby, I would be delighted to help you on your journey.

I have been passionate about music all my life, and alongside my performance career, I teach private singing, guitar or bass lessons. Whether you want to learn to play the guitar, improve your vocal skills or dive in deep to learn more about musical concepts, I can guide you. I teach all ages and abilities, and my special focus is on students that would like to learn singing alongside guitar, bass or keyboard. Such tuition can be very useful for singer/songwriters or those who are already in a band, and wish to become a singer guitarist or bassist. I have comprehensive music theory knowledge and experience in how to approach and arrange backing vocals.

My professional singing career now spans 35 years, and I have appeared in 94 different roles in 140 productions around the UK, Europe and Australia. I have performed hundreds of oratorio and recital concerts (including over 40 appearances as a soloist at the Royal Albert Hall). Working with some of the finest teachers and coaches in the world, I have studied bel canto technique, languages, musicianship, acting, movement and stagecraft as well as performed alongside some of the greatest opera stars alive, and worked under celebrated conductors and directors.

If you’re keen on the guitar, I will teach you to master guitar or bass and fully immerse yourself in the music. I mainly teach rock and pop styles, but initially trained as a classical player, and have a strong knowledge of jazz chords and theory. And if you’re interested in fine-tuning your singing skills, you will learn about vocal technique, musicianship, languages, stagecraft and professional etiquette.

I offer not just my musical knowledge and training but special insight and tips on how to stand out and perform with confidence and flair. Classes are in my garden studio in Eltham, London, and I offer an encouraging environment along with engaging lessons that not only will hone your skills but also inspire you.

With 25 years of teaching students from diverse backgrounds and levels, I find it a rewarding experience watching my students blossom into impressive musicians and look forward to doing the same with you.
