I was referred to Iain at My Mortgage Company by a friend of mine, after another broker was seemingly uninterested in my case as it was "quite complicated" due to it involving 2 mortgages. Well, Iain found a solution to my supposed complicated case within 30 mins of our meeting. Both the mortgages he sourced were very competitive and he achieved a greater drawdown sum on my current property than I anticipated, meaning I didn't have to raise as much in additional funds for my purchase. We had some problems with Barclays along the way, but this was very much out of the brokers' hands. Special mention must go out to Clare, as she was relentless in chasing Barclays and their solicitors to resolve the matter and kept me and my solicitor updated every step of the way. Both mortgages completed fine thanks to this.I even got a call from Iain today to advise me that he has put in a compensation claim to Barclays on my behalf for the delays that they caused. Their personal touch was unparalleled and they took us step by step through the process from start to finish with genuine guidance and caring approaches to difficult matters. Towards the end of our mortgage journey we encountered several issues which meant that we needed constant contact with Jacqui and she was nothing but a joy. Jacqui fought our corner when we needed her to and even helped relieve stress after hours when she wasn’t obliged. Ian at My Mortgage Company achieved what my partner and I thought would be impossible. I've used My Mortgage Company twice now, when buying my house and again when remortgaging at the end of the initial term. Both times I've dealt with Iain, it's been very simple and I've ended up with a good rate .
