What do you love most about your job?
Freelancing, and particularly the freedom to work from home, allows me to choose those clients I can best serve and work at times that are convenient to ensure meeting my deadlines.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After a second retrenchment, I became disenchanted with the corporate world, its unproductive meetings and uncertainties. Instead, I chose to take control of my own future. Ultimately I found that I most enjoy writing as it broadens my knowledge and often influences my views.
Why should our clients choose you?
I like to know what I'm getting for my money and so do clients. When you hire me, you won't be given an hourly rate that will depend on how fast I choose to work but a fixed price for each job that covers research, editing and plagiarism checks and is based purely on word-count. Also, I have never failed to meet an agreed deadline.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
In practice, I prefer to operate remotely. I have done so for the last 15 years, serving clients in South Africa, the United States, Belgium and the UK.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Because I work only on a remote basis, all contact with clients is by email, telephone or video call. To ensure my family and I remain safe, I purchase most of our requirements online and observe all the mandated safety practices if I find it necessary to go out.
