Garden Design & Planting Design
I offer a range of services from revamping an existing border to a full garden design. Unusual and problem areas are a speciality.
Historical & Period Gardens
I offer advice and designs on gardens for period properties. Sometimes this can involve a strictly historically accurate approach, or a more contemporary solution still in keeping with the feel of the site.
After my college course I was head gardener at Easton Lodge (a 'lost' Edwardian garden in Essex). I completed various planting schemes there as well as leading volunteer gardening sessions.
Skilled Garden Maintenance
Pruning at the best time of year for the desired result, correct identification of weed seedlings, splitting and dividing perennials, fruit tree management. Sowing and planting. Natural plant community management (e.g. meadows).
I can also source and supply plants at competitive rates.
Consultation & Advice
I offer advice on most areas. A consultation session is an informal alternative to committing to a full design.
If you've recently moved to a new property I can offer a plant identification service and/or prepare a maintenance schedule.
I also offer training sessions on maintaining your garden.
