How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
This would be determind on the first site visit, we can then arrange for the Artitech to complete drawings as per the building regulations.
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
1. Clearing the Loft area .
2. Stripping out old wood structure as per drawing specification .
3. Installing new steals (RSJ) to building regs as per drawing specification.
4. Installing and up grading to building regs new wood structure as per drawing specification .
5. Installing New dormer windows/ velx windows to drawing specification.
6. Install new installation as per drawing specification.
7. Install new stairs as per drawing specification .
8. Install new electrics and plumbing to building regs as per drawing specification .
9. Plasterboard and skim new loft area.
10. Install Second fix would I.e (doors and skirting).
11. Painting and decorating .

What inspired you to start your own business?
After several years in the Armed forces being told what to do in every aspect of my day and life, then when I left I thought about my skills and how much i had already achieved. Knowing there was more I could give and knowing for certain I needed to be the one calling the orders to deliver my own ideas and thoughts.
I didn't take me that long to figure out i wanted to go back to the Building Trade having spent my early civillain years doing before the Army. I enjoyed it and I just knew that i could make something good happen and with drive and ambition build something special.
Ex-Army builders was born and I have never looked back.
