We recently had a 3 night stay at Blencowe Hall, in May. We had our intimate wedding ceremony here on the 2nd day and it was perfect the day went so smoothly. From initial contact with Christine, Joannna and the team we were made to feel so welcome and nothing was a bother. there was not one thing we could fault with our stay everything we needed was provided and nothing was too much trouble! Even when a fuse had went in the main tower rhe staff were with us in no time to help us get sorted. would highly recommend Blencowe Hall, children friendly too. A very sympathetically restored building with a vast amount of accomodation. Alongside fantastic manor house bedrooms (all en suite), it boasts 3 lounges and 2 very large lounges. The grounds around the hall are also well kept and very relaxing. Although pricey it is an outstanding place for a once in a lifetime big family gathering. The surrounding Eden valley and village of Melmerby provide an outstanding setting in which to spend a long weekend or a full week. More...

Had a fabulous weekend at Todd hill farm The place is beautiful My bedroom had a four poster bed in !!! and each of the other 5 bedrooms were just as amazing The kitchen was gorgeous and had everything you could need Well done Its a fabulous property HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Nobody was disappointed. The house and grounds are amazing. No other way to describe it. We had 32 guests staying between Blencowe and Cazenovia Halls, the latter of which provided a good nearby spot for the bridal party to get ready. We stayed in Cromwells foley on the first floor of the south tower. A nice 4 poster bed, superb views across the hills and our own individual staircase. The room is very large ensuite.The grounds are amazing too and the castle lights up at night. We have recently returned from a visit to The Rowley Estates, staying at Melmerby Hall. This was for the celebration of a long-awaited family reunion (17 of us in total) and my 50th birthday and we couldn't fault the service or accommodation from start to finish. What a beautiful place to stay; I can't recommend it highly enough. Melmerby Hall was stunning and the attention to detail was fantastic; from the generous welcome basket of goodies to the beautifully appointed rooms. We would also highly recommend the catering services of Lynn Hilditch who provided excellent 'drop-off suppers' and a wonderful three-course meal for my birthday celebration. A huge thank you for Christine, Charlie and Jilly for a truly memorable stay. We hope to return in the not too distant future. More...

We stayed at Elk Cottage over the weekend with friends and we absolutely amazed by the accommodation and surrounding area. The cottage was perfectly presented and the little extra touches such as a hamper filled with gifts and fresh bread and milk really made all the difference.
