We booked Wyn for a supper evening at our local Community Centre. He went round the tables performing magic and amazing all the attendees and then after the meal did a short magic/comedy stage act which baffled and amused. My wife booked Wyn and Oki Doki 6 years ago for my daughters 5th Birthday party and we've seen him on countless occasions since at different public shows in the area. I decided for my Wife's 40th I would ask him to perform his show with a slightly more adult theme and he didn't fail to deliver. He had us all entertained with some side splitting humour and some great tricks. I'd highly recommend him for adult or children's parties or as he did for us a bit of both. Very professional to deal with in the run-up. When the weather caused our event to be re-scheduled, Wyn was happy to oblige. Very easy to deal with in person, he dealt directly with staff at the venue to get things as he wanted them for his show.The show itself, just a pity we didn't have time to let him do more. How long have you been interested in magic?
For around 24 years. I was a professional entertainer before I was a magician so I had the basic knowledge of the craft of entertainment. The magic was a perfect vehicle for me and now it allows me to travel all over the world and make people happy.
Take us through your show – what can we expect?
It depends on what you want from me. As well as the close-up table and mingling magic I also perform 'out front'. That might be as a full 45 minute comedy magic cabaret where although some of the magic is strong, the emphasis is more on the comedy and the entertainment. I can do this show, either, as mentioned as a full cabaret, or even as a short end of meal performance or possibly even outside as a 'street show'.
With the close-up magic, I can be extremely flexible and perform in most locations. I can 'magic' in a mingling capacity at parties and events or as part of pre-dinner drinks as a precursor to going around the tables. At most events, I spend up to 10 minutes wandering around different groups, or tables entertaining the guests before moving on to the next lot and doing it again. Occasionally though, I might perform at events and dinner parties where I am with one group of people for up to an hour. That isn't just pure magic, going from trick to trick, as there are jokes, stories and anecdotes woven into the package like a magical tapestry of fun.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the variety mostly, I love meeting different people from so many varied walks of life and I love the fact that I get to work in amazing locations. Another fantastic aspect is that I leave people happier than when I got there (hopefully) and that is a wonderful feeling to have
Why should our clients choose you?
I am fully aware that even though I go to lots of different functions and events, I don't take it for granted. This may be the only time that you the booker will hire a magician. It could be a special one off event and so I give it my all. I live by my reputation and it is very important to me, so I make sure that what I do is not just magical and fun, not just that you have been thoroughly entertained, but I also ensure that you notice the high standards of professionalism that I bring to every event. Right from the booking process which I make as simple as possible, but leaving you with a clear understanding of the role I will provide, the time I will be there, my fee and how to pay it. Everything is done to leave you feeling assured that you have booked the right person, who will turn up on time, clean, smartly dressed and providing you with fantastic memories and feeling absolutely assured that you got great value for money.
