Found this place on Pitchup and thought the prices were good so booked it. We arrived a little early but our pitch was ready which was great. We were in the first field close to the main entrance. We didnt think we'd use the outdoor pool as it wasnt the warmest weather but it was surprisingly warm and my 1 year old loved the splash pool. There is a dog friendly part to the pub which was good so we could enjoy dinner inside as we had our 2 dogs with us. The soft play area is really good aswell theres lots for kids to do with a few outdoor playgrounds dotted around. 10 minute drive (if that) from Paignton seafront and pier, and close to Torquay aswell so great location. We will use this holiday park again when we holiday in South Devon. More...

My wife and our 2 children stayed here for a week in our caravan. The kids loved the site but I have a few issues - the first being that our sat nav sent us down a lane on the way in to the camp which was as wide as the caravan and ended up scratching all the side of the caravan. When I mentioned this to one of the staff he said it happens all the time !! If this is true surely it should be mentioned upon booking to stop this happening to someone else My other issue was the awful smell coming from the drains. It felt like it was seeping up through the ground and was that bad it prevented us from eating outside. These issues need to be rectified as they are valid points which need addressing urgently. We also had some very interfering neighbours who actually complained to reception as our dog was whining when we left him on a few occasions when we couldn’t take him with us for example to the zoo - get a life he’s a dog !! They also complained that he was out in the rain !! Pathetic ... some people just got nothing better to do with their lives More...

We had ten nights camping booked from 17th August, our first ever big camping holiday and what a holiday it was, on arrival at 10:30 we went to reception to be greeted by very helpful and friendly staff, although pitches are not normally ready until 12pm we were happily told that ours was ready, |||| The pitch itself was huge and well spaced out from other pitches only fault with it was the slope it was on , but having a quick look around us it was by no means the worst and there wasn’t many totally flat ones any where anyway. |||| We were between two amenity blocks, one seemed newer than the other but both were ok , only fault really was due to the amount of usage they received they could of done with more than one clean in the morning ... |||| The hayloft was fantastic with very helpful and friendly staff , always willing to have a yarn and always willing to give local advice on where to go and what to do, the granary bar where the main entertainment is held is greasy albeit a little on the small side, entertainment wise Chris, Denny and Harriet were brilliant , |||| The swimming pool and surrounding area is absolutely brilliant, safety is absolute paramount here with two life guards ALWAYS on duty and not just sitting there looking pretty either, very helpful always got eyes on the pool yet not stopping people having a great time. We also loved the zero glass policy around the pool. |||| The shop has the basics in and is fairly priced, the fresh bread in the mornings is fantastic and well worth pre ordering on the click and collect service. |||| We loved the little touches on this site like the pop up bar with live music outside, the charity fun run on a Wednesday morning plus other little bits and bobs the site offered ||||Overall we had a fantastic time here and will return in the future, the only minor gripe we had was maybe give the facilities more than one clean a day. ||||||Thankyou whitehill for a fantastic holiday More...

Just returned from a very relaxing break, set in a peaceful woodland setting yet not too far from the beaches and shops etc. ||Lovely clean park with really friendly staff, loved the new gym, great bar with decking to sit out on and admire the views, food from the cafe was really tasty and the outdoor swimming pool was spotlessly clean, lovely and warm and always manned by friendly lifeguards, would recommend the walk into stoke Gabriel, we would definitely stay here again! I booked over the phone to ensure we had a flat pitch. On arrival, the pitch was sloped. Reception and ground staff were amazing. Drove my husband and son around in a golf buggy to find a suitable pitch. Could not fault them!||||People next to us were obviously camping with a group of friends. Music going and loud shouting until at least 2330. I'm sure if we had called security they would have come out, but we had lost the info given to us at check in. Completely our fault. My husband did ask them to keep it down, but to no avail. ||||Playpark was good. I thought it was a little dated, but my 6 year old loved it. And that's what it's all about. However, play was ruined by groups of unsupervised children. Some seeming as young as 5. I had things shouted at me, and I won't write what my 6 year old was told to do to himself. I ended up breaking down to the pool staff as it was so upsetting. They were great. Looked after my little boy so I could go and have a cry in reception. (I'm no snowflake, but this was truly horrible). Staff were going to send security out, but I'm not sure it would have made a difference.||||All members of staff were lovely, and went out of their way to help. Especially the pool staff. They showed that the enjoyment of the guests is important to them. ||||One suggestion I would make is to show the film in a separate room. It's a lovely touch, especially in colder weather, but you can barely hear as the area in general is so loud. ||||We will definately be back again as there is nothing the park could have done about the negative aspects of our trip. With a new born, we wanted some home comforts rather than our usual holiday in a tent and this has been a perfect option for us. The site has a nice little pub on it that does decent food, great little shop for all your essentials, huge pool and a dog exercise area big enough to give your dog a proper run with a ball.Very happy with my little break at Whitehill. We have just spent the weekend here and it was absolutely fabulous, staff are friendly, food was tasty, really clean and loads to do especially for children, toilets and showers were always really clean and tidy, all in all a fantastic family site we will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Excellent site, great facilities and superbly maintained. Heated pool was great even in only 18 degrees. Brilliant entertainment for kids and food/drinks reasonably priced which can be a concern on these types of holidays. Will certainly be back

Really nice park in great location just outside Paignton. Facilities are good for campers and a few play parks for kids. There is a swimming pool, open air, although heated was just a bit cold for me, my kids thought it was okay. There was a couple of bars, one with entertainment, although it was really small and we could never get a seat, hence can't comment on the entertainment. There was also a small indoor play area and my 7 year olld was happy in there for a bit.The site ran free star gazing when we were there and was great fun for all of us.
