Everything in the room was as expected; as advertised. A part of the Best Western group this hotel offers a great amount for the cost! ! Believe me when I say it’s good! Remember this is and old Manor House adapted into a Hotel so you inevitably have the ‘fire’ doors at each landing; but does this detract from your stay?- No! It’s worth reading about the buildings history. We had a great evening - with a free upgrade ( I’m confident if you ask and they have availability you will be treated likewise) Yet again hotels independently operating within the Best Western group pull it off - well done! The restaurant food was tasty and affordable. Room Service again was spot on. If you are in this area and need a stay over you will not be disappointed- it’s not five star but it doesn’t pretend to be - best value in the area I could find!! Breakfast reasonably priced too. At the price paid I’m looking for fault but can’t- if you can you must be ignoring the value. Well doneDisliked nothing · Well done exceeded value for money More...

Brilliant! Staff great hotel lovely. Kitchens close early so no bar snacks after about 10pm. Pool great although the layout was put together piecemeal and the sauna is through the gym, like you do. ...One down side, the amount of steps. It is a bit up hill and down dale with all the staircases, but the price and staff made up for all the steps. You so have to go through an open courtyard to get to most bedrooms so an extra layer, jumper or cardi would not go amiss. May not be 5* but a warm and welcoming place to stay. More...

Stayed for one night with My little boy....Had a lovely stay, the hotel itself was spotless, a few Marks in the shower area but Otherwise good. ... We had to go outside and into another building for our room which was incredibly noisey late at night with guests returning to their rooms, they didnt seem To have consideration for other guests....(this wasnt the hotels fault)Floor boards creeked alot with every guest passing by our room.Food was Lovely, as was the pool Would stay again More...

This was our second visit this year and cant wait to go back,Very quiet and peacefull with lovley gardens. The warm swimming pool is fantastic and the breakfast is faultless, bar food at night was reasonable, we were given an upgrade room that was clean and spacious, we explored Cheddar Gorge and went to Cribbs Causeway shopping centre which was only 30 mins up the motorway staff very friendly, thanks to all at Webbington.

Quiet hotel with all the facilities and parking for big crowds.||Rooms fine if a little dated with cornicing and obvious addition of en-suite bathrooms. ||Staff plentiful and friendly if a little unfocussed.||Bar menu limited and OK but not brilliant - sustaining.||Swimming pool and sauna and steam room really good but the layout is crazy - with changing rooms by the sauna and a long walk through the gym to reach the pool.||Pool a good size and temperature.||Steam room excellent.||Changing rooms basic. We have stopped at the Webbington on a number of occasions, this particular trip was to celebrate a friends birthday. The overall stay was very good, the food in the restaurant was excellent and the rooms were up to the high standards you would expect. Food prices are very good however i do think the bar can be somewhat overpriced . My only other gripe is that it is November and temperatures have dropped and finding a warm spot in the hotel is hit & miss at times. I will be back soon and will remember to pack a warm fleece. Good once you get there, but Tomtom takes you to within 700 yds and then directs you down a single track road away from the hotel. Arrive via the A38 and the village of Cross, OR if you come via Loxton ignore Tomtom's direction to turn left when you see the hotel ahead of you. PLEASE management put a better sign at the road junction from Loxton - there is one, but I wasn't looking behind me as I was drivng forwards!||||Once we arrived the staff were friendly and helpful and we had a good stay. Food was all we had expected, and although there were 2 weddings during our stay it wasn't too noisy. More...

We originally booked the Webbington Hotel for our wedding reception (12/10) because it was one of the only wheelchair-friendly venues within driving distance of the church where we married. However it turned out to be so much more than a convenience, and was a beautiful venue with incredibly hard working staff!||Charley Hardcastle is the wedding co-ordinator and nothing is too much trouble for her. We sent endless emails with never ending questions and queries, and she always made sure to reply promptly and find out answers if she didn't already know.||The invoicing and money side of things was also very fast and efficient, so we always knew where we were as things were updating quickly.||We had 60 guests, and a handful more in the evening, but could have comfortably had more in this venue.||It's full of history, and is a very old beautiful building.||Compared to other venues we looked at, the prices at the Webbington were so reasonable but it never once felt like we'd chosen the cheaper option. I know they host dozens of weddings every years, but I always felt like the queen of Sheba!||The food choices were excellent, all of our guests were very complimentary on speed of service and the high quality food. We made a few adjustments to some of the food on offer, but the chef was happy to cater for our requests.||The rooms were lovely, especially the one my bridesmaids and I stayed in the night before - it felt like our own little apartment.||All in all, I would definitely recommend checking the Webbington out if you are considering a Somerset wedding. Couldn’t give this place 5 stars for 2 reasons.|1: the total lack of view! We faced a weedy embankment and couldn’t even see the sky! |2: the room 106 was next to the housekeeping room so from 8am for 22 minutes we had to listen to the housekeepers gossiping about their weekend! Good job we needed to get up....|Reception were amazing! My OH overpaid and the gentleman came to our room to refund!|We asked for an iron and board which arrived minutes later and as a packing oversight resulted in no wash bag, he provided us with complimentary toothbrushes and toothpaste. Can’t fault the service.|Actual views from public areas were stunning! We’d like to visit in summer (we’d upgrade though) .|Pool, steam room, sauna all lovely and the gym equipment is comprehensive!|We didn’t eat here as we were meeting friends in the nearby Wellington Arms - best fillet steak ever! Also probably the most reasonably priced at £13.50!|We used the bar which was about average price for a BW. The service was way above average.|In conclusion- great value for money but worth paying for a better room. More...

We booked in to the Webbington Hotel for the night as we wanted to break up our journey to Cornwall, and I'm so pleased we did. ||||The hotel is a bit off the beaten track, but it has loads of character, serves good food and drinks and the staff are friendly and helpful, and all appeared to be enjoying their jobs.||||The pool and gym facilities are ideal if you want a quick work out before dinner, and are well organised.||||The only downside is, that like most country house type hotels, the rooms are a little bit all over the place, with a bit of upstairs, around corners, downstairs etc, but it all adds to the charm More...

Quite a range of reviews here, but we can only say how we found our 2-night stay... and that was overall just right for the price. ||||It included a lovely afternoon tea on our arrival (very welcome after long delays on the M5!), and a pleasant evening meal, plus 2 very full and enjoyable English breakfasts.||||We can see why the location and views make it very popular for wedding receptions, but for us it was the fact that we wanted to explore the local area, including a lovely bracing walk up Crook Peak (the hill overlooking the hotel) on our first morning.||||Parking was plentiful and easy, even with up to 2 weddings a day). The local views are stunning, and there is a well-positioned balcony near the bar to sit outside watching the setting sun.||||A short drive (about 6 miles) away is Cheddar, where there is also a fantastic if a little challenging (at times) panoramic "walk" up around and back down the famous Gorge...||||Our room was spacious, clean and well provided with electrical points, although we did keep the window closed at night to silence the sounds of the M5 and nighttime wedding parties.||||We found the hotel staff to be polite, welcoming and friendly throughout our stay, and while some aspects of the hotel (e.g. the decor in some areas) were rather tired and dated, and cleanliness a bit variable at times, it appears that refurbishment is ongoing, which can only improve things.||||We would happily visit and stay here again, and would recommend it to others.
