I contacted Kieran last week about a job which included putting some furniture together and putting some shelves up in my room and he told me, he would be in my area two days later and could do the job then. I told him I wouldn’t be home but my flat mate could let him in, I would have preferred to have him come to my house at a more convenient time for me but he kept pushing for the Monday as he was already in the area at another job, and I thought that if I sent clear instructions (which I did) of what I wanted and emphasised that if he had any questions to call me it would be ok. The Furniture was put together well hence the one star, however My instructions of how I wanted the shelves to be put up were disregarded because apparently my housemate told him to do something else, which she had a different account. When I messaged Kieran later and asked why he hadn’t followed my instructions and asked if he could come back and fix the shelves and put them the way I had originally asked he just kept repeating that he wasn’t lying and that’s what my housemate had told him to do, which I thought was strange considering that I had sent him such thorough instructions and told him if there was any confusion to contact me and The shelves were going up in my room and I was the one paying him and also my housemate had said when she had went up to my room after I called her to check how it was going, he had already put the shelves up. When I asked if he could come back and fix the shelves to the way I had originally asked he replied that he would when he was in the area next, I still haven’t heard anything from him. He also told me the job would take two hours so I paid him for two hours and arranged to get home 20 minutes before he was supposed to finish, when I got home my housemate told me he had left a while ago. Overall he did a decent job on the furniture assemble but I would definitely micromanage anything else especially when you’re not there and have given instructions. More...

Hi Jessica I told you I was in the area that day and gave you the option to hire me. I would love to hear how I “pushed you” to hire me that day. Apart from mentioning that I was in the same area if you wanted to hire me on the Monday and that I would do it for £10 cheaper as I wouldn’t charge you the £10 travel I normally charge customers. I personally thought that I was just being reasonable and fair by offering that. But to give the impression I pushed you into it is a fabrication and you know it. In response to the shelving, you weren’t home and I asked your housemate where you wanted them. She said she would find out and then came in the room and told me where to put them. I’m not sure how I was supposed to know that what she told me was wrong. After I left you texted me when you got home and asked me to return and fix the problem and I agreed to do that the next time I’m in the area at no charge, even though it was your housemate that made the mistake. I live near Heathrow and you live in tooting south London so thought my offer was more than reasonable seeing as it was free and that you didn’t live nearby enough for me to just come and fix the problem your housemate caused at my expense. To write a one star review when I built everything perfectly and put the shelves where someone you trusted told me to is very unfair.

The service was excellent.
Not long after I put my job up on Bark I was contacted and time arranged to complete the work with in 24 hours.
It was clear he was very experienced in his work,
Also he was pleasant and amendable to talk with and the job was composted in no time.
I future if I need flat back furniture assembled I would return to the same company and not waste my time trying to get cheaper quotes.
As I would know the work would be completed at a reasonable price and with full constancy
