How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
The conversion of a garage, or part of garage, into habitale space will normally require approval under the building regulations. This is because you will need guidance on the performance of materials and building work in order to comply with building regulations. plans are generally drawn and submitted to the local authority
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
Generally a wooden studwork structure internally up against the existing external structure with the appropriate insulation (there are several varieties). Removing the existing garage door, a footing dug for the external structure to take the weight (window and or brickwork), and it is generally acceptable to put a floating floor internally. All different stages of the project are inspected at regular intervals by the local building authority, making sure that all the building regulations are adhered to.
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Only by some one qualified to do so such as an architect. That would involve a set of drawings and submission to local authority we can advise you with regard to the work process involved and give you a rough guide estimate to the budget involved

generally a framework suspended above the existing ceiling mainly of timber construction. sometimes several steels are involved depending of the size of the intended project...over the top of suspended framework generally is a 150mmx 50mm timber stud frame work insulated to correct` u` value and generally cladded or rendered. obviously before the rendering or cladding is approached new windows and doors are installed and completed..with the addition of new flat roof or a combination of both .all internal walls are generally 100mmx50 of timber stud work.. sometimes the addition of a scaffolding frame work is required over the top of the existing property depending on site conditions ,and expected foul weather conditions
