Very tidy & elegant looking hotel. Asian food fusion in the restaurant was Tasty!! Ideal location and only 15min walk into town. Staff are friendly, ideal location for ten nights and group stays.

Food was extensive. Conference room had everything you'd need and was extremely spacious. Staff were helpful and had good knowledge about where each meet was taking place. Overall good experience

Great place. Very well located just a short walk to the City center. Very Friendly staff. Great Restaurant. Gym? Spa? Swimming pool? They have anything you need...

Looks a bit austere on the outside, but helpful and friendly staff. Plenty to eat for breakfast (though I didn't notice the yogurt in bowls on the shelf a bit removed from the cereals). Enjoyed the pool for a swim though difficult to have a proper swim at 5 on Sat as a large group enjoying themselves, so pick your time! We had a Privilege room which was nice and spacious and enjoyed the pod coffee. Hotel well situated to wander around the regenerated docks, M-shed etc and comfortable walk to Temple Meads station.

It was my first ever time visiting Bristol and my partner and I found your hotel. Booked online and had no problems. Arrived and the staff that welcome us where lovely. We where given a room on the forth floor. The room looked lovely till we looked in more detail and everything is covered in dust. The lampshade is dirty and the bathroom ceiling was covered in a huge stain (don't even know what it was) we didn't let this ruin our stay and the rest of the hotel was lovely. We headed down for a swim in the pool the pool was lovely and warm however we where greatest my two couples near enough having sex in the pool and made it so awkward for us and another family in the pool to swim up and down.

A friend and I came to use the pool as we heard it's a quiet pool, it was great! We had the place to ourselves! However as we were both pregnant, it would have been good to have some toilets on the same floor as the pool rather than having to walk back up to reception

Large, clean and comfortable rooms. Rooms on the ground floor can be a bit noisy. The gym is small but alright. Great selection of food for breakfast. The quality of the coffee can be improved. Beverages from the hotel bar are over priced. The restaurant menu is meat heavy, ok if you like steaks and burgers. Very few vegetarian options. The location is convenient. Perfect for business trips.

Really lovely looking hotel, good parking, clean and modern rooms. But, pillows are very hard and there was no wheelchair available for our elderly guest, which was really disappointing. Could say we should bring our own but have never had problems at hotels before. Food varied and tasty, though desserts are VERY expensive. Breakfast which was included is varied and good too.

Superb stay. Excellent service. Beautiful hotel. Great breakfast. I was kindly upgraded to a superior room when I was desperate for an early check in before a work event and there were no standard rooms available. Will recommend to anyone. And this hotel was recommended to me by colleagues.

Wonderful stay, reception on arrival and upon leaving was busy and there was a queue. Facilities are great for the family, kept clean and presentable. Superior double room was very spacious and comfortable, surprisingly little road noise for a front of house room. Bathroom was decent. Air conditioning available although was a loud hum throughout the night. Safe available, good clothes storage and there is a chaise lounge, coffee and dressing table. The bed itself was vast for us but we slept well. Breakfast buffet has plenty of choice. Off site spa available although we didn't try. Would definitely go back again.

The look and the feel of the hotel was great. The room was very nice with complimentary robes and slippers, although the bathroom door was a bit difficult to close. The room service meal was also delicious. What let the stay at the hotel down for me was the breakfast....it seemed very disorganised having to queue for ages, and when seated no cutlery was on the table so had to find a member of staff to get some. There were also a few other things. The poached eggs were disappointing too. It took the shine off what was a lovely weekend.

So much of the stay was exceptional, the room was well equipped, very well maintained, quiet, a very good size, with: iron & board, trouser press, drink making facilities, shower cubicle, separate bath, comfy chairs, useable desk and lots of shells (yes 'shells', I was in the 'Beach' room). Breakfast had a very good selection of freshly prepared foods and good service. The two downsides were the evening meal service was really really poor, we were kept waiting ages: to order, to have our food served and to resolve our bill, there were enough staff - there was no excuse. The second issue related to the location of the hotel; as my colleague pointed out, the graffiti brightened up the very run down area through which the walk from the rail station took us.

Rooms well appointed but way too hot and windows wouldn’t open. We had to have the AC on in late October!

Also the room cleaner had little attention to detail. Not enough towels were left for our second night and not enough black teabags. There was mould on the window ledges from the condensation.

The reception staff were very welcoming, friendly, efficient and willing to help with any request, no matter how small. Our room was superb - plenty of space, large comfy bed, beautifully furnished and very clean. Breakfast was a positive feast every morning! Hard working room service staff were also friendly and smiling, despite their heavy work load. Car parking was easily located at the rear of the hotel and fees were conveniently paid through the hotel reception.

We stayed here for family wedding. Room was clean ,2 queen size beds. Best family we have stayed in. Breakfast was good except for the bacon (tasteless )staff friendly. Swimming pool water was cold but the room hot. Pool not very big but son enjoyed it. We asked for dressing gowns which was not questioned but when we checked in our room was next to hen party so we asked for a quieter room which was done without any fuss. It would have been nice to have been asked if we wanted to up grade. Only down side is car park charges should be included in room costs .Good stay. Would stay again.

Staff were attentive at both reception and restaurant. My mark down was due to the lack of opening windows in the room and the poor location of the safe in the bottom of the wardrobe. When I mentioned the lack of opening windows as I was checking out I was told that was due to the building being like that when Mercure purchased it second hand.
There is an indoor pool but the first time I used it there was a polite notice on the changing room door asking for consideration of an exercise class for pregnant ladies in one half of the pool - that area was roped off but only left the width of a couple of lanes for swimming. As It turned out I was the only man swimming I would have preferred to see a list of classes beforehand in in order to decide when to go swimming.
The hotel is well located for leisure, especially the Harbourside area which is close by with a variety of eateries, museums and water based activities including ferries and harbour tours.

The cafe bar was nice, the breakfast good but I don't think it was worth £15 on the day. Rooms were very nice but we did upgrade as we wanted to be on the same floor as other guests in our group. Just more ways to make money, free soft drinks are included in upgrade, which were 3 cans. Thought being a spa hotel they would have a jacuzzi or sauna but they didn't. The spa treatment booked and treatment were lovely! Very professional male and female staff. Pool is a decent size for a hotel. The lunch in the bar was also very good.

The room was stylish and comfortable, overlooking the car park side so it was extremely quiet and restful. The reception staff were professional and friendly, everything was clear and straightforward, so no hidden surprises in the bill. The hotel was ideally located just a 5 minute walk from the lower end of Queen's Square. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to book if coming to Bristol again.

We enjoyed our two day stay at the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food at the Urban Inn bar was great and well priced. We also had breakfast during our stay which was freshly prepared and set us up for the days adventuring. The room was clean and well maintained.
We would definitely recomend this hotel to families as we brought our 15 month old daughter with us.
Well done to the team.

Nice room and bathroom, good location for city and nice food. Disappointed with the 'spa' definitely not a girly weekend choice if the spa experience is what you are after. Spa treatment area is in a different building and you have to walk through a car park to get to it. No sauna, steam room or jacuzzi, pool cold and changing room tired and dated. Fine for taking the kids for a splash about but not a 'treat'. A real shame and let's down what would otherwise be a really good hotel.

I usually love staying at Mercure hotels, however this time I paid for late check out and was disturbed by varying members of staff 3 times between 9:10am and 12:45pm. First a cleaner entered our room (we forgot to lock the door) at 9:10am which woke us both up, this is nowhere near even the standard check out time of 12pm never mind the late check out of 6pm! We then had a knock on the door at 12:10, this time reception staff wanted to know if we were checking out that day........... we then had a knock on the door by a second cleaner at 12:45.

I was refunded the cost of late check out but my experience was completely ruined, if I had wanted to be disturbed I would have stayed at home with the kids or not paid for late check out.

The hotel was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The view left a lot to be desired, but not all hotels can be high rises, and the mini bar was not nearly as well stocked as a previous visit to a different Mercure left me expecting. The staff were friendly, when they were not disturbing your rest. We ordered room service and the food was well worth the tray charge, both had burgers that were of excellent quality.

I will continue to book Mercure hotels, I just probably will not revisit this one.

Our overall experience was good, only a couple of things in our room were not up to standard. One the bathroom door would not open and close without having to slam it shut, which made it difficult for my children to use the bathroom their own, especially during the night. Two the head boards were covered in dust and looked as if they had not been cleaned in weeks. I bring this point up as my children have dust allergies. Other than that all was good. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to comment on my stay and hope you can make the next stay better. Thank you.

Very nice, large room. Modern and we'll decorated. Free wifi, good food and bar options. My only criticism would be £13 for car parking! Not a cheap hotel so I'd expect parking to be included or at least a reduced rate.

Had a hiccup on my first day with a chicken wings snack I felt was over cooked the meat was dark grey.
I asked for the duty manager who quickly saw to making my stay a good one. He made it easy for me to choose from the menu and received a complimentary glass of wine.
My room was clean and replenished well. A surprise to be upgraded on my arrival.
Front desk and restaurant service were very welcoming.

We were impressed with the efficiency of check in and the receptionist was very willing to book us a taxi for later in the evening. Our Privilege room was clean, very well equipped and smart, the bed and bedding was comfortable and 255 had a long row of windows overlooking the road and greenery. No road noise. The room did feel a bit stuffy as though it could do with a good airing. Having said that the air con was very effective and it was boiling hot that day. The car park was full but we did find an alternative car park round the back. Would stay again if we needed to be right in the centre of Bristol.

This was our first stay at the hotel, which is very convenient for the centre of Bristol.

We arrived late and had a good meal in the bar area. We had a room upgrade, which was nice and had a large room with the widest curtains I can remember (348). No issues with the room except that the toilet seat was loose, but this was minor.

I was given a welcome drink voucher as a Le Club member, but this was only for one person/drink, which seems a bit stingy given my wife was occupying the room also.

Breakfast on both mornings was fine. Check-in and check-out no problems at all.

Thanks

Nice clean rooms, lovely lobby. Very convenient to the Bristol Aquarium and the Science Museum. 24 hour room service and the pool was open until 10.

Only major complaint is that entrance to the front has stairs and there is a wheelchair lift, but it was locked and not manned. It would make it inconvenient if you are travelling alone with a pushchair or wheelchair because you'd have to somehow notify someone inside that you needed to use it... which you couldn't do if you were stuck outside.
