What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret is between the photographer's eye and the camera viewfinder - that's where the magic happens. A little spark of electricity bursts out before the photographer takes the picture and if you look very closely, you might be able to see it.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Firstly and most importantly, I ask for their vision. Moodboards, examples, outfits - it all starts with the client. Then we alter and combine it. Other questions I ask are quite general but important nonetheless - the number of images they want, how long they are willing to shoot and how comfortable they are to be in front of the camera.
What do you love most about your job?
I love that I am able to showcase people from a different perspective they might not see themselves from. They feel confident and I feel trusted. I also admire the fact that every person is multidimensional and it is my honour to portray this in images.
I also love spending time editing the photos.
What inspired you to start your own business?
It was my craving for independence and wanting to take my life into my own hands. I have a certain vision and the only person to make it work the way I see it is me.
Also, my father runs his own business and I was heavily influenced by that.
Why should our clients choose you?
My clients should choose me because I put them first. My goal is to build trust with my clients and show them in an inspiring and attractive way. I want to get to know the people I work with and have that show in my images.
