I'm one of the parents of a 2nd degree black belt. My son has high functioning autism , but has over come all his challenges with the help of our fine masters and instructors. He is now an instructor himself and helps other kids with their challenges. I myself am a teacher in the after school program with 17 years of experience in helping kids with their challenges. Grandmaster and Mrs. Lee and their staff genuinely care about the children. They offer an after school program that includes Taekwondo classes 5 days a week. The combined program gives children the opportunity to play with other children, the structure to complete daily homework and the discipline, character and integrity that Taekwondo teaches. For our family it was the best after school option in our area. They are great encouragers and you can tell that they love what they do. My 8 year old daughter has been a part of US Taekwondo Center since June 2016. She started as a white belt and will currently be testing for her purple. The care, dedication, and discipline towards Lily is exceptional. They also offer a fun-filled summer camp as well as transportation to and from school. I tried this place using Groupon for my 6 year old nephew. It came with the uniform and belt! It's apparently an establishment that has been around for decades - my brother-in-law went when he was a child and still has fond memories. The day the Groupon ended I didn't want to let my nephew know since the joy on his face was more than noticeable. The only way to curb the disappointment was to promise him I would send him back. They were more than gentle and patient with him - he felt special.They provide summer camp activities and after school programs where they help the children with their homework. I would give it 5 stars but we weren't there long enough. I've never experienced what the other reviewer experienced so to be fair I thought I'd add my review. More...
