A lovely luxury savoury tea. Staff very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. My quiche was very tasty and my husband enjoyed his sandwiches. We had to bring one of our cheese scones home as they were so huge. The waitress even jarred up some cream cheese and relish to bring with it! More...

I chose Castle Rising Tea Rooms to meet a friend as it was equidistant from each of our homes. We were scheduled to meet at 10am and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they open at 8. 30am. We chose to have the smaller breakfast. Good quality. Good service. Very pleasant surroundings and outside seating for the warmer weather. Decent menu. Decent prices. We initially went to the local pub with the view to ordering a meal. We changed our mindswhen we saw the menu and headed for these tea rooms instead. What a treat we had and certainly a good decision. I loved the stilton and brocoli quiche which was served with monster size wedges and salad. It was followed by one of their cakes. If we even come back to the area we will certainly call in again. For those who say they are expensive they must spend their time in transport cafes. This was home made food at a reasonable cost.
